Help! I'm Short on SS Month Orders - What Should I Do?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

Michelle, a new consultant for Pampered Chef, is struggling to meet the sales requirements for her SS month after hosting a show prior to her consultancy. Sales from that show do not count towards her SS month since she was not yet a consultant at the time. To resolve her situation, she should consider hosting another show to generate sufficient sales or utilize a credit card to purchase the necessary kit. Additionally, sending out a newsletter to her contacts could help boost her sales efforts.

I hosted a show before I actually became a consultant to help pay for my kit...someone told me those sales counted towards my ss month...i don't think it does, does it? Anyway, some of the people couldn't attend so i followed up with them and they placed orders but it doesn't equal enough to submit and my show is already closed and I am out of contacts and don't have enough money to buy anything...what should i do??

You probably should have kept the show open longer. You could try again and have another show with enough sales,or you'll have to pay for the kit. If you have a cc,you can charge it,and then pay on the cc. Good Luck

If you were listed as the host, but not the consultant, those sales won't count under you. They'd be the Consultant who "did" your show. If I understood correctly, you said it was a show you hosted before you became a consultant. Have you put together a nice email newsletter announcing the start of your PC business? If not, that may help to do one and email it to every single person you can think of. I'm sure people on this site can give you samples of letters that they sent out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I'm short on sales for the month?

If you're short on sales for the month, consider reaching out to your existing customers for follow-up orders or hosting a flash sale. You can also promote special offers or bundle deals to encourage purchases. Additionally, consider reaching out to friends and family for support or hosting a virtual party to boost your sales numbers.

How can I increase my sales quickly?

To quickly increase your sales, leverage social media platforms to showcase your products and share customer testimonials. You can also create urgency by offering limited-time promotions or discounts. Engaging with your audience through live demonstrations or cooking shows can also help drive immediate sales.

Should I reach out to my team for support?

Absolutely! Your team can be a great resource for support and motivation. They may have ideas for increasing sales or can help you brainstorm ways to reach your goals. Collaborating with your team can also lead to joint promotions or events that benefit everyone involved.

What if I can't meet my sales goals this month?

If you can't meet your sales goals, don't be too hard on yourself. Focus on learning from the experience and identifying what strategies worked and what didn’t. Set realistic goals for the next month and create a plan to improve. Remember, consistency and persistence are key in direct sales.

Can I offer incentives to customers to boost sales?

Yes, offering incentives can be an effective way to boost sales. Consider providing discounts on future purchases, free shipping, or small gifts with orders. You can also create a referral program where customers receive rewards for referring new clients. These strategies can encourage more purchases and help you reach your sales goals.
