Hello and hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Tonight I tried out the 30-minute Chicken in the Deep Covered Baker and was impressed - very moist and tender even with removing the skin before cooking. My test subject, Ariel, is ready to order the baker next week when it goes on special :-)

Has anyone tried this cooking method with a turkey breast? If so, what if any adjustments do you have to make as there are no bones and it's denser than a chicken?

Thank you!
Susan

I'm interested to hear how it turned out too...

There was a thread on here about the Turkey Breast in the DCB, but now I can't find it - I've never done it myself - but I know there are people who have done it successfully.
Sorry I don't have any more info than that!

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients do I need to make a 30-Minute Turkey Breast?

To make a 30-Minute Turkey Breast, you will need a turkey breast (about 2-3 pounds), olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and any additional herbs or spices you prefer, such as rosemary or thyme. You may also want to have a meat thermometer on hand to ensure proper cooking.

How do I prepare the turkey breast for cooking?

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels, then rub it with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices. Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan or on a baking sheet, skin side up, for even cooking.

What cooking method is used for the 30-Minute Turkey Breast?

The 30-Minute Turkey Breast is typically roasted in the oven. The high temperature allows the turkey to cook quickly while still achieving a juicy interior and crispy skin. It's important to monitor the internal temperature to avoid overcooking.

How can I tell when the turkey breast is done cooking?

The turkey breast is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the meat. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature, and let the turkey rest for about 10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

Can I use a frozen turkey breast for this recipe?

It is not recommended to cook a frozen turkey breast directly in this recipe, as it will not cook evenly and may take much longer than 30 minutes. If you have a frozen turkey breast, it is best to thaw it completely in the refrigerator before following the cooking instructions.
