OK vista vixens, I got tons of FREE stuff.. but now my shipping is up to $20. + change.. (for the "slow" version) is there any way to reduce the shipping cost? ( Yes, I am super cheap and my hubby is still layed off so... anything helps!!) I thought I read looong time ago about adding a little item reduces shipping costs.. ??

Yes, if you add a small item to pay for it does reduce it. Sometimes A lot.

I have been meaning to go on there myself. I need some cute Thank You notes for upcoming baby showers and I thought it would be cute to design some.

I always wait for the premium cards to go on sale before I order.....and this time, I also got 25 business card magnets that match the business cards I ordered - for free! (plus a bunch of other stuff, it had been a while since I ordered.) On the postcards and the business cards, I used the recipe for Parmesan Garlic Biscuit Bites, since this is the recipe that seems to garner the most requests.

I added red ink to my free stamp, and got the recipe printed on the back of the business cards - so made a purchase of a little of $6.00 - but that brings down the shipping costs a ton!

i think you will have to pay an additional amount to put something on the back. The free one will only allow you to have a blank back. There should be a link under the "proof" area that says "backside".... or you may just have to hit next until it asks you if you want to keep the blank back with the vistaprint.com logo or upgrade to printing on the backside.

I think I know what's happening.
click on "Advanced Editing" and it will allow you to print on the back. But like the others said,. you have to pay for it.

It's $5.24 for B&W which is still quite a bargain!

But, adding that recipe on the back is around $5.00 - and it brings down your shipping cost- so you come out even!

love my vista items!After seeing people post about vista print for the past year, I finally placed an order (using the amazing specials referenced ealier in this thread).

I just received my order and am thrilled with everything. Here is what turned out really well:

- Labels using their dots pattern (thanks for that suggestion; they compliment the new catalog perfectly and look more professional than the bland do-at-home one I do.)
- Business cards with a recipe on back (thanks Ann...I've loved the 'artichoke' card since you showed it to me at Leadership).
- Business cards specifically for bridal showers and wedding registries. I used the design with the veil and top hat. Beside my info, the front says "complimentary two hour consultantation (see back for more information)". The back lists all the registry benefits.
- Card-size magnets that have my contact info and say "Thank you for being such a wonderful host! Your 10% discount is valid for a full year!". (These came out GREAT.)

I just placed an order yesterday for Thank You notes for my two baby showers in the next few month. I put on them "Thank You from the mom of Cole Stephens." I got the idea from another catalog. They are so cute!

I also did the 100 postcards and put on the front "A Little Note to Say Hello." I ordered the envelopes to go with them. I am going to give these to the hostess of my showers as a Thank you Gift. I will have enough to give them each 15.

Pretty good for only $14!!! Just the notecards along for my hostess would cost around $15-20 anywhere around here. The book that I got the Thank You note idea from charges $16 for 12 of them - I got 40 from vista, HA!
