I entered in automatically as a guest, the previous host that this current show was booked from, so I wouldn't forget about her getting the host special booking benefit. She went on-line and placed her order through the host's name as she should have and I went to retrieve it and put it in P3 on the new show. Well, it created her as a new guest. How do I fix it so that I don't have her listed 2x in my contacts list and so that all her order history is accurate?

Under "tools" in P3 there is a "Clean up duplicate contacts" option where you can combine multiple contacts that are the same...

So every time a previous customer who already has a history on my P3 places an order on-line through a show, it will do this and I'll just go through and clean up the duplicates?

When you sync your PSW with P3, it should give you a prompt to clean up any duplicate contacts.

Do I need to click "add contact" to the duplicate person first?

Frequently Asked Questions

What are duplicate guest entries in my contacts list?

Duplicate guest entries occur when the same individual is listed multiple times in your contacts list, often due to variations in their name, email address, or other identifying information. This can lead to confusion and inefficiencies in managing your guest interactions and communications.

How can I identify duplicate entries in my contacts list?

You can identify duplicate entries by reviewing your contacts list for names or email addresses that appear more than once. Many contact management systems also offer features to automatically highlight or merge duplicates, making it easier to spot them.

What steps should I take to fix duplicate guest entries?

To fix duplicate guest entries, start by selecting one of the duplicates to keep as the primary entry. Then, merge or delete the other duplicates. Ensure that all relevant information from the duplicates is transferred to the primary entry to maintain complete guest records.

Can I prevent duplicate entries from occurring in the future?

Yes, you can prevent duplicate entries by implementing a consistent method for adding new contacts, such as using a standardized format for names and email addresses. Additionally, regularly reviewing your contacts list and utilizing any available duplicate detection tools can help maintain a clean database.

What should I do if I accidentally delete a guest entry?

If you accidentally delete a guest entry, check if your contact management system has an "undo" feature or a recycle bin where deleted contacts are temporarily stored. If not, you may need to re-enter the guest's information manually or retrieve it from previous communications or records.
