Fixing an Open Show Issue: How to Mark a Recovered PPP Backup as Closed

SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the inability to manually mark a show as closed in the PPP (Performance Production Program) after a backup recovery. Users reported that shows remain marked as "open" with a red dot until a new show is submitted or the system automatically closes it after a period of inactivity. The only workaround suggested is to contact the PPP support team for potential manual closure of the show. Users emphasized the importance of backing up before submitting shows to avoid similar issues in the future.

I had something go wrong with my laptop the other day and had to reinstall PPP. It recovered teh backup just fine - unfortunately it had not backed up since I had submitted my last show. I backed up just prior to submitting it. So now it's showing up on my shows list as still being an "open" show. I don't think it really matters (does it?) but my OCD self doesn't like seeing that red dot there. Is there anyway I can override it and marked it closed?

You can Finalize it, but you just can't submit it again.

I have my first show ever in my P3 with a red dot, because for whatever reason (I can't remember why, now) I submitted it by mail. As time passes, the Finish tab keeps adding red dots as items get retired and because P3 now requires a zip code for credit cards. All you can really do is do another 11 shows, and it'll fall far enough down that you won't see the red dot. :D

I did try clicking the "close show" button, but it just takes me to the screen to submit a new show. Any help would be appreciated!Thanks!P.S. I will be sure to backup right before submitting from now on!Unfortunately, there is no way to manually mark a show as closed in PPP. The red dot will remain until you submit a new show or until the system automatically marks it as closed after a certain period of time without any activity. However, you can always reach out to the PPP support team and explain your situation. They may be able to manually mark the show as closed for you.

What is an Open Show Issue in Pampered Chef?

An Open Show Issue in Pampered Chef refers to a situation where a party or show has not been properly closed in the system, which can lead to discrepancies in sales reporting and commission calculations. It typically occurs when a show is left open after the event has concluded, and it needs to be addressed to ensure accurate record-keeping.

How do I identify if I have an Open Show Issue?

You can identify an Open Show Issue by checking your Pampered Chef consultant dashboard. Look for any shows that are marked as "Open" and review the details to confirm if they have been completed but not closed. Additionally, you may receive notifications or alerts regarding any shows that require attention.

What steps do I need to take to recover a PPP backup?

To recover a PPP backup, you should first locate the backup file on your computer. Open the Pampered Chef software and navigate to the backup restoration section. Follow the prompts to upload the backup file, ensuring that you select the correct file that corresponds to the show you want to recover. Once the recovery is complete, verify that all data has been restored accurately.

How do I mark a recovered PPP backup as closed?

After recovering a PPP backup, you can mark it as closed by accessing the show details in the Pampered Chef system. Look for the option to close the show, which may be labeled as "Finalize" or "Close Show." Ensure that all necessary information, such as sales and guest orders, is complete before confirming the closure. This will officially mark the show as closed in the system.

What should I do if I encounter issues while closing the show?

If you encounter issues while trying to close the show, first check for any error messages that may indicate what the problem is. Common issues can include missing information or unresolved orders. If you cannot resolve the issue on your own, consider reaching out to Pampered Chef support for assistance. They can provide guidance and help troubleshoot any technical difficulties you may be experiencing.
