Looks interesting! What is in it?

No fair posting a yummy picture like that without a recipe!

That's what I really meant to write! LOL!

My "visions of sugar plums" guesses that it may involve brownies, pink M&M's and either pudding or whipped cream. Strawberry flavored would be my drug of choice!:balloon:

Spot on Ann..

Prep Time: 30 min.
Bake Time: 45 min. (for brownies)
Difficulty: Easy
One 14 oz. Susan G. Komen for the Cure Milk Chocolate M&M’S®
One package brownie mix prepared per instructions, divided in half
One 12 oz. container non-dairy frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided in half
One package strawberry mousse mix prepared per instructions, divided in half
One trifle dish

Layer as follows:
1. Half the brownies, crumbled
2. Half the prepared strawberry mousse
3. Sprinkle desired amount of Susan G. Komen M&M’S®
4. Half the non-dairy whipped topping (Cool Whip)
5. Repeat
6. Arrange M&M’s on top in the shape of a pink breast cancer awareness ribbon

I was just on that site. Whereabouts did you find this on there? I couldn't find it or just went about it the wrong way. Thanks.

Harriet, I went on there and clicked away but nothing was working for me. I then found the search section on the top right and typed in trifle and up it came. HTH! :)

I found it Jodi thanks to you. I was really curious about what the name of it was and I guess that is why I couldn't find it. I did what you suggested and found it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a trifle and why is it a great treat for December?

A trifle is a layered dessert typically made with sponge cake, custard, fruit, and whipped cream. It's a great treat for December because it can be made in large batches, is visually appealing, and can incorporate seasonal flavors like peppermint, gingerbread, and festive fruits, making it perfect for holiday gatherings.

What ingredients do I need to make a delicious trifle?

To make a delicious trifle, you'll need sponge cake or ladyfingers, custard or pudding, whipped cream, and a variety of fruits such as berries or citrus. You can also add festive elements like crushed cookies, chocolate shavings, or flavored liqueurs to enhance the flavor.

Can I make a trifle ahead of time?

Yes, trifles can be made ahead of time! In fact, making them a day in advance allows the flavors to meld together. Just be sure to add any toppings, like whipped cream or fresh fruit, right before serving to keep them fresh and visually appealing.

How can I customize my trifle for different tastes?

You can customize your trifle by varying the cake base (using chocolate cake, gingerbread, or even gluten-free options), changing the type of custard or pudding (vanilla, chocolate, or fruit-flavored), and selecting different fruits or toppings based on personal preferences or dietary restrictions.

What serving suggestions do you have for presenting a trifle?

For an elegant presentation, use a clear glass trifle bowl to showcase the beautiful layers. You can also serve individual portions in small glasses or jars for a more personal touch. Garnish with fresh fruit, mint leaves, or chocolate shavings for added visual appeal.
