Can I Earn a Trip to Paris Through Cooking Shows and Business Recruitment?

Wow!! Deb and Colleen - you can do it!!!!

My goal is to contact ALL of my past hosts going back through my whole business and reconnect with them. I'm going to tell them about our awesome new stuff, especially the budget-friendly recipes and see if they want to host another show. I SOOOO want this trip!!!!

Here's an update:
Becky
Goal: Paris (level 3) - 74,000 points and 6 qualified recruits
Have: 59,848- 7 qualified -2 still to qualify (one probably won't )
Need: 14,152- 0 to qualify

I have one who will hopefully qualify soon, another who will hopefully sign soon and qualify AND a $600-$700 show to close out today (say $650 to average it out). With those added in, I then have 9502 to go. Those recruiting points are big ifs though. :(Aaaah!!! In the past this was totally do-able, but I'm finding it harder to book shows.

I may need to pull out all the stops and beg my mom to have a show. Hers are always good. It's been 2 1/2 years since she's had one. And another good friend who was my very first host hasn't done one in 3 years. I really just need to contact tons of people to get them interested in it. I hate feeling like this though - desperate!! When I feel desperate, I feel like it comes across to the people I call. I just want to have the attitude like "I don't care if you host or not, but I just wanted to offer these great options to you...." We shall see!!!:D Thanks for letting me whine a little:o

Just closed a show for $854. Now I need to get on the phone and book up November and December for this trip and to get my FFEF done (Baby Step 3 for you Dave Ramsey fans out there)!!!!Goal: Mexico (Level 3) - 74,000 points and 6 qualified recruits
Have: 55,407 points - 4 qualified - 2 working to qualify (and 3 duds who never qualified!)
Need: $14, 593 - 2 to qualify (already taking into account their 4000 pts)I have already earned Miami

Becky, you and I are so close--let's do it! No more bowling until we book another show!
 
I am on target for the Miami Trip, after I promote Nov 1st, I will just need 10,000 points, and I have 17 cookings shows so far from now until the end of the year. If I go on a recruiting spree, I might be able to hit Mexico, but I will be thrilled with Miami, as it will be my first trip earned.

Seriously!! Look how close we both are! Good idea-no more bowling until I get another show on the calendar!!!

This will be my first trip earned also. I would've LOVED Paris, but I will take Miami!! I am so excited to earn it. I cannot wait to talk about it from a first hand experience.
 
Ok, so this month has been pretty good so far. Including what I'm sitting on and submitted, here are my updated stats:

Goal: Miami - 52000 and 4 recruits
Have: 42693 - recruit requirement filled
Need: 9307 - I have one recruit who needs to qualify so then I'll be down to 7307.

I'm actually truly starting to believe that I can do this!!

YES YOU CAN!!! And check out the new recruiting incentive! Maybe this will get you more recruits and more points!
 
I'm nervous still!!! Here's my update:

Aruba for 2
Total Points needed = 74,000
Current Points = 50,931
Unqualified recruit points pending = 10,000

Total Points needed after recruits qualify = 13,069
I have a $900 show to submit still.
I have 6 more shows on my books between now and Christmas. I need to book 8 more. I'd like to recruit and qualify 2 more people as well between now and then.

I'm scared!
 
Update:

Mexico, Level 3 with extra TPC day:

69,271 points, recruits are fulfilled:

4729 points to go.

2 October Cooking Shows left. 6 November Shows with 2 Holiday Booths.

Still helping the last 2 recruits I signed to qualify....that would add 4000 points, meaning I would need 729 in sales. :D

What an inspiration you are Debi! With the year you have had, it is wonderful that you can bask in knowing that you are going to Miami (and after a move to Ohio, you'll need some warmth in April!!) CONGRATULATIONS!

Well, I just had a $1300 show last night (so far....she expects more)....so here is an update:


Mexico, Level 3 with extra TPC day:

70,571 points, recruits are fulfilled:

3429 points to go.

1 October Cooking Show left. 6 November Shows with 2 Holiday Booths.
 
So Janice, when are you going shopping for a new bathing suit for the trip??? :)
 
Had a small vendor fair last night - booked 2 shows and had $200 in sales!! I need to book 6 more shows. I have 2 people who want to book but said call me Monday - one might be for January but I'm going to try to get her into December. I have about 150 contacts to make who have all been from trade shows - they're all cold leads so I don't think my odds are going to be good but I'm going to call them all! I've been working through the list this week.

I keep telling myself that "I'll start getting on the treadmill TOMORROW morning", and never do....guess I'll have to change that, huh?

Oh, Diamond Head! I miss Hawaii. Maybe it will be next year's trip!
 
Here's a little bit of an update, but not much:

I'm not hearing back from my very warm recruit lead.:( I've sent a couple emails and messages and I'll hold off for now so I don't seem like a stalker. Bummer!!!

But, on a good note, I've booked a couple more shows and a couple days ago I planted a little seed in my mom's head about hosting another show (she's hosted probably 4 or so). Today she said she'll do one in December! Woo hoo!!! She was my highest show ever ($2800!) and I could use another one of those, that's for sure. I'm excited that without much begging from me, she decided to host a show!:) I still need some more or some more recruits to make Paris!!!

ETA: Oh and I almost forgot! I just booked an online/catalog show fundraiser that has a national group with people in various states. This could be a dud and maybe not that big, BUT I'm choosing to think it can be HUGE!! I hope word spreads like wildfire and people order for the holidays like crazy. It's for a group trying to raise money for the CUTEST little 5 year old girl who has brain cancer because her medical expenses are already outrageous. I'm donating my commission and just crossing my fingers that this will be HUGE to raise some good money. So who knows, this could also make or break Paris!
 
Becky - once a few more of my girls qualify, we'll be in the *exact* same position. I have 10 shows booked. I want to book 10 more that way any recruits are icing on the cake. There's one girl that *might* qualify but I'm trying hard not to think about her because there's also a chance she won't.
 
This is only OCTOBER....come on -- we have over 2 months to go! We can all do it!!!

I just booked another show!!! For next weekend!!! I now have 11 booked for Nov / Dec. 9 more to go!!
Oh and I'm doing a trade show / vendor fair thing on the 13th that should go well!
