I had 3000 for promoting a director and 3000 for promoting myself showing on the tracker. But when this director went back to consultant those 6000 points went away......

I only need 7400 points to make Paris and this will be my first level three trip! I had developed a director earlier this year which promoted me but both my directors had to stop because of life issues which made me loose 6000 points and then we had such a horrible Sept due to the storm. BUT things are turning around, already had a $1800 catalog show come in and did a $1200 booth yesterday and I can't loose the momentum. I've always wanted to go to Paris!!!!

Well I took a risk this year knowing that I booked 5 booths (one big one the rest small) and preordered items on a show for myself so I would have some cash and carry. I have done 2 of the booths so far and my sales have trippled because of the cash and carry. It draws them in and is didn't hurt the orders at all. I have a sign that says "cash and carry *cash or checks only" and another one that says "15% OFF all orders made here today *cash, checks, Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX **delivered to your home directly". My sales were just about 50/50 for the C&C and the orders. Plus it was an outside booth and the back of my booth was up againest a busy street and I have 2 banners so I put my big one that I bought sometime back on EBAY facing the street. I had a couple of people say they stopped just to see me!!!

Becky - do you worry about taking cheques for cash & carry? I'd be more comfortable taking a credit card to be honest...

I've never done cash & carry but I'm thinking I should. I can add to my points and have stuff on hand to sell. What sorts of things did you buy?

My trip update
The IPT hasn't updated yet but as of this morning I have earned the Trip for 1 to Aruba!!!

I need 24,000 points for the trip for 2.
I have 5 unqualified consultants for 10,000
I don't have any other hot recruit leads but you never know! My sales will have to be HUGE for the next 3 months in order to get there and I have NO shows booked. Ok, not none but not enough!!! I need some major phone action this week!

Miami will be mine. I'm waiting till I hit 42,000 to update (because it is the next marker on the chart). Once I've submitted the last shows I've done I'll be there! I have 4 potential recruits, 5 more shows this month, 8 shows next month. I should make the trip! Hooray!

Yes, this will be my first trip. My latest qualified consultant's info hasn't updated yet!! She faxes her orders in so sometimes they take a few days to show up - I want to see it today!!

I realized I have an update now because I just had another consultant qualify:

Becky
Goal: Paris (level 3) - 74,000 points and 6 qualified recruits
Have: 58,629- 7 qualified -2 still to qualify (one probably won't )
Need: 15,371- 0 to qualify

I have one potential consultant hoping to sign this month, but who knows. I was REALLY hoping some leads would come through from the Career Builder ad, but so far NOTHING. My show schedule is kind of ICK so this will be REALLY hard to do with a cruddy show schedule. I do still have about $1500 in sales to submit and a couple more shows this month, so who knows!

Update:

Mexico, Level 3 with extra TPC day:

66,797 points, recruits are fulfilled:

7203 points to go.

That last recruit I mentioned is still working on qualifying (another 2000 points) and I just signed another new recruit last week who has 4 shows lined up for the next 3 weeks....(another 2000 points). If they both qualify I will need 3203 in sales. Do-able? I hope!

2 October Cooking Shows left with 1 open house. 6 November Shows with 2 Holiday Booths.

With the new baby (she is almost 3 months old), and my monthly sales not being super high, I am apprehensive to aim for MEXICO...

I made a copy of the checks on my copier so that I had their info right away, but none of the checks bounced. Sometimes I do think I too trusting, but I really have only been burnt once.

I sold a lot of choppers, pizza stones, classic batter bowls and bamboo. I have other stuff too but what I think made the most difference with having Cash & Carry, even if it's not a lot, is that it made them stop and spend some time in my booth. So many times before I had people just stop long enough to ask if I had anything and then move on. I'm definalty going this method for now on and I stress you don't have to have a lot of stuff!!

Just under 20,000 points needed. Have 3 recruits... my 4th will qualify by the end of the week so I'll need 17,783. Have 1 more show this month and 11 for November and 2 for December as of now. Goal is 15 for November and 8 for December so we'll see!!!!
