I am having 12 women over Thur. for Pampered Chef Bunco ( which will ultimately become a show!)

I am serving a main entree, and a dessert...and trying to spend as minimally as possible, yet be great recipes..

ANY IDEAS on what I could prepare that could easily feed 12?

Chicken Tortilla Casserole, Warm Nutty Caramel Brownies, Any trifles (dessert or salad), old standbys: Chicken and Broccoli Braid or any braids, Cool Veggie Pizza, Cherry cheese coffeecake

Apple Berry Salsa is great and inexpensive!

Good Ideas.....I'll take a peak again in the morning at the chicken tortilla recipe...

Heather, I would try the Creamy One Pot Pasta. It can easily be doubled and it is delicious! I know I go on about it, but people at my shows rave about it. You can add frozen grilled chicken strips, or leave it the way it is.

For dessert you can do Mini Brownie Bites. One box makes 2 mini muffin tins worth. If you just do one pan, you will have 2 for everyone. And the leftovers go nicely into the prep bowls. It turned out like a molten lava cake... still a little gooey in the center.. YUMMY! Hope you are having a great week.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some easy main entree ideas for a Bunco night?

For a Bunco night, consider easy-to-prepare main entrees like a taco bar, where guests can build their own tacos with various toppings. Another great option is a pasta dish, such as baked ziti or a creamy chicken alfredo, which can be made ahead of time and served warm. You could also serve sliders, such as mini burgers or pulled pork, which are fun and easy to eat while playing.

What dessert ideas are suitable for a Bunco gathering?

For dessert, consider bite-sized treats that are easy to serve and eat, such as mini cupcakes or cookie platters. Another popular option is a chocolate fountain with fruits and marshmallows for dipping. You could also prepare individual servings of dessert, like parfaits or jars of layered cake, which are both visually appealing and convenient for guests.

How can I make my Bunco menu more themed?

To create a themed Bunco menu, choose a cuisine or color scheme to inspire your dishes. For example, if you choose a Mexican theme, serve tacos, nachos, and churros for dessert. If you opt for a color scheme, like pink and gold, you could serve pink lemonade, gold-dusted cupcakes, and other treats that match the colors. Incorporating themed decorations can also enhance the overall experience.

Are there any make-ahead recipes for Bunco night?

Yes, many recipes can be made ahead of time to save you stress on the day of the event. Casseroles, like lasagna or enchiladas, can be prepared the day before and simply baked before serving. For desserts, items like brownies or cookies can be baked in advance and stored. Additionally, dips and spreads can be made ahead of time and served with chips or crackers.

How can I accommodate dietary restrictions at my Bunco party?

To accommodate dietary restrictions, consider labeling all dishes with common allergens and dietary information, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, or nut-free. Offering a variety of options, including salads, veggie trays, and gluten-free pasta, ensures that there’s something for everyone. It’s also a good idea to ask your guests in advance if they have any specific dietary needs so you can plan accordingly.
