Bridal Shower Cooking Show: Tips for Hosting a Memorable Party

In summary, the speaker's friend is getting married and they will be throwing a bridal shower cooking show as their first show since taking a break from being a consultant. The speaker will be acting as both the consultant and the host, but they will involve their friend in the planning process and will work together on splitting any host rewards or bonuses. They also suggest getting a mutual friend to help with the details to ease the workload. Communication is key to making the party a success for both parties involved.

Ok, so I have a friend who wants to have a party, and she is also getting married. Since I took a hiatus from being a consultant, she will be my first show.

Unfortunately because i have to start over in sales, I cant offer her the registry. I told her this and she was ok with that.

I suggested to her that we could do the bridal shower cooking show and she fell in love with the idea. Especially since she needs good cookware.

so heres my question..... since i am going to be her consultant, and she is the host, should i consider myself the one throwing the party? does that make sense? we will still be using her house, and i want her to have the host benefits and all, i guess im just wondering how in depth i should go. should i do the invites and have her do a list that i can pass out to guests? and prepare her thank you envelopes and things?

any suggestions?

You can be the "host" as far as the party goes but I would put HER name in as the host on P3. You could also ask a mutual friend to help with the details so you aren't doing both the host and consultant part for the whole party.

First of all, congratulations on your friend's upcoming wedding and on booking your first show as a consultant! It's great that you are thinking about the details and how to make the party a success. In terms of who is "throwing" the party, I would say that both you and your friend are co-hosts. You are the consultant and will be running the show, but she is the host in the sense that it is her home and she is inviting her friends and family to attend. In terms of the details, it would be nice for you to take on some of the planning responsibilities since you are the consultant and it is your job to make the party a success. You can work with your friend to come up with a guest list and send out invitations, but you can also handle details like preparing thank you envelopes and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day of the party. It's important to communicate with your friend and make sure she is comfortable with the level of involvement you have in the planning process. You can also discuss how you will split any host rewards or bonuses that may be earned from the party. Overall, just make sure to work together and communicate effectively to make the bridal shower cooking show a fun and successful event for both you and your friend. Good luck!
