My November has fallen apart. I have one show and 1 catalog show this month. I just can't seem to get myself on the phone to make things better. I just ended my SS period so I don't have years of hosts and customers to draw from. I have had some problems at home with my daughter who was academically terminated from college. She is back home and bringing on loads of stress. This on top of my own health problems. I have had several tests to see if I have thyroid cancer. I have no energy and keep putting things off. I need to be motivated and I need some ideas quick! I don't want my business to fall apart! I am just getting started. I really want to grow my PC business so that I can quit my banking job. I have been there for over 13 years and I am tired of it. I want to do PC full time! I thought that this goal alone would be enough to keep me going but alas...it hasn't! :( Please help!

All I can say is I sypathise and feel your pain. I also have not been able to make those calls. My SS2 month had about $200 in sales. This month should be better as I may have unexpectedly ended up with 2-3 fundraisers but the details still need to be worked out.

My October was pretty good. I did almost $1500 in sales. I am just worried that if I don't get some shows going...the next few months are going to be terrible too. I don't want that to happen. I also don't want to beg for shows! I thought about doing a mystery host show this month to see what I could get from that. Does anyone have any good ideas for that?

Your October sounds great! We all have months that are less than stellar... And, I know that you don't feel like it, but just start making calls and getting out there. I know that sounds just the opposite of how you feel and sounds crazy. Get out there? But, I can't, I don't want to.... I KNOW! ;) , but whenever I feel "in a slump", tired, unmotivated, or anything like that. I make a point to take a LONG shower, get dressed - not dressy, but something nice, a nice pair of jeans and a blouse will do, wear shoes! (believe it or not, that makes a big difference). And then pick up the phone. :)You should see some positive results - even if you are just leaving upbeat phone messages. And then when you have exhausted ALL phone leads, get out of the house. Go for a walk to the park, go the mall, have lunch, just physical activity will boost you, and with being nicely dressed, you are going to feel good and it's much easier to strike up a conversation.Yes, I know it's hard. I have been dealing with issues with my oldest son, I have no babysitter for meetings, I have some health issues of my own, (nothing as severe as yours, so I am not trying to compare) and just tons going on. It's so hard sometimes. But, when it's hardest, you just have to stay in and fight. :) And don't forget - this site is always here. I like that! :) I think that you will find a lot of support on this board! As for booking ideas - if you don't have a big list for a Mystery Host show, make it a Holiday Open House and you be the host. You can give away your benefits or keep them. You can give away the Host Special as a prize drawing, the Half-priced items or whatever you like! Or have someone else close to you be the host, even your daughter! And make sure that she invites EVERYONE she knows and their mother - LITERALLY! :) Then even offer a booking incentive - whatever works for you! Good luck with your medical testing. I will pray for you. And I have no advice on children, since I can't handle my own. So, I will add your daughter to the list of prayers I have for my son! ;) Hang in there... it will all come together! :) Feel better! :)

I have had a hard time getting bookings too. I was suppose to have a show today but about 5-6 days ago the host called me and asked me if she could change it to a catalog show, because everyone in her family was having the flu. That made me a little disappointed. I was really hoping to get a couple bookings off of her show, with incentives for her.
I have ran out of people to call too. I have only been with TPC for about 6-7 month so my list of hosts and customers are not long. I am having a Mystery Host Open House next Saturday so hopefully that will help me out.
My advice to you is keep thinking positive. Try to make your self make phone calls and offer them a free cooking show or some other incentive. Things will start looking up if you put some effort into it. And as for you health I am soory to hear about it all. I will keep you in my prayers and keep us updated on how the results turn out.
