totally know what you mean ellen... that's why I love this thread, because I can see that when other people are lacking in bookings they get on the phone; which makes me realize I need to get on the phone. It's totally inspirational while also making us want to work good, so we can report success on here!

Ya. I hate having to get on here to report that I did nothing! But I do it anyway so you guys can hold me accountable. It also keeps me going because there are only so many days in a row where I'll want to report that I did nothing.:yuck: Something about seeing it in public print that gives me a kick in the butt!:D

I hope your recruit gets her show in and you get your points! Happy new selling season to you! :) Good luck! I won't be back on this thread until either Mon or Tue night, so let's hope I have lots of good things to report!

Considering the week I have had...... check out the prayer request forum to find out about my week........But I have booked two shows considering!! :)

Thursday was pretty good.I stopped in at a small town post office, and a woman I hadn't seen in a few years, Michelle, was filling in. I was wearing one of my PC shirts, so she asked if I was a consultant. She also asked for a catalog. The woman who usually works in that post office has talked about possibly hosting a party. Michelle will be doing her best to talk her into it. :) She also intends to order periodically. I talked with a potential host who isn't ready right now, but will host soon.I talked with another potential host who is seriously considering a September party.I worked my show, but didn't get any bookings or recruiting leads. :(Felt like a productive day, though.

Hi all... Wanted to let you know I am here. Just been bogged down with other comitments and getting ready for school to start. Dh has also been working a TON of overtime so I haven't had much of a break from the kids and DS has been whiny and attached to my hip.... Not very conducive to making phone calls!

I have been making a ton of host packets (I want to have enough for 3-4 months) and getting invites done for my september shows.

Thanks all! You rock!

I was wondering where you've been. Glad you're back. Keep working the plan.

Thanks! It's nice to know I am being thought of!

:blushing:

yesterday I did manage to talk to a lady who said she wanted to host months ago - still no date set. Although she did start asking me a lot of questions about the biz, so maybe I'll move her from my bookings leads to recruit leads and try that approach..........

Talked to a friend who is deciding between two dates in September - she's a past host and it's a done deal - yea! That makes 6 cooking shows and 1 catalog for September. I'm also waiting to hear back from another friend who will co-host with her cousin soon - they are also just picking their date. I'm very excited about September being here!

i'm not feeling very well tonight, so I'm gonna skip the calls. But so far today, I talked to a potential host -still no date. Talked to a recruit lead, meeting next week (tues or thurs) to talk more about he biz. Talked to a new recruit who already has her first catty to submit and doesn't even have her kit yet (yayyyy!).

Alright, I have not been working my business like I should within the last week and a half or so. (well, I did go to the beach, so I was on vacation). I did do a show yesterday, that I acquired from a fellow consultant two days prior. There were about 7-8 guests, and we closed the same night, with only $215.00 in sales. The host told me to call her in Jan08 about booking another show, and one other guest said to call her mid-September about doing an Oct. catty show. Tonight, I have been working on host coaching calls. I hope to get some more phone calls in on Saturday morning.

I did some calls today, but most of it was flagging down my cat. hostess. I did talk to 2 people today and 1 of them being my recruit who will be inactive soon and got a packet from PC letting her know about the great promotions going on. Well she broke her hand back in March and is on disability but is looking to see if she can re-activate and still be on disability. Anyway if not, she is going to wait until she gets better use of her hand and then try the business again. We'll see about the weekend. I do have some HC calls to make, but I am not sure I will get many people at home because of the weekend. We'll see.

Well, she didn't get it in today so I had to put in for her 3rd and final leave of absence of the year.:( She has a catty show for September, so that keeps her active till at least November.

I did get my 3-2-1 today though....

One girl I met last month at a show checked "maybe" on the business. I talked to her today and she said it's not a good time for her to start the bus. and didn't even want information on it. She would like the new catty though and I will send her the specials with it.

Another host doing a catty show in September checked the "maybe" (on the business) and confessed it was because she was intoxicated at the time!:D she was pretty embarassed:blushing: but is happy to be doing the catty show.

I talked to a manager guy at Vons about the great tax write-offs as he was checking my groceries out. He asked a little bit more about what I do. I think I'll take him a catty next time I'm in.

I collected an order from my friend and she said she'd try to get more when she went out of town this weekend. I told her if it adds up to $150 or more we'll just go ahead and make it a show for her. She liked that idea so I might have one more catty show for September!:)

Thank you for the kind words, JAE.I made some calls on Friday and talked to a couple of people at rummage sales. (The Furry Guy and I made the rounds.)I'm planning a slug day today--sitting in my comfy chair like a big ol' slug, reading and doing a lot of nothing.

Nothing today...yet. I may not do anything. We'll see.

Not only did I not really have any, I was at a 2 year olds birthday party and a potential recruit was there.....she wouldn't even look in my direction!

I'm so sorry, Ellen. Don't you hate it when people do that?

Saturday, I made two new contacts. One at a park, and it turns out her sister is a consultant, so I just mentioned that the new catalog is out, and she said, oh! she'll be calling me soon then. The other was at Wal-mart. I gave the clerk a mini catty, and got her name and e-mail on a drawing slip. I did speak to 2-3 current hostesses, and left messages for two more.

Made one contact today at church. She wants to do a show but is not sure on a date! It's something at least! Can you believe September is here already? My first two shows are Thursday & Friday! My Friday host was acting annoyed with me because I jsut gave her the shopping list on Saturday. I thought it was plenty of time but I guess not. I usually do it sooner but it's a recipe I've never done before and had to practice it some more before committing to it.

Sorry! I just hijacked my own post!

Okay, made another contact today...gave a catalog to a cashier at the grocery store. That's two contacts...maybe I can get one more....

I talked with a friend the other day. Her daughter is getting married in November. The family has been collecting "hope chest" items for the last several years for all three of the girls. I told her that I didn't know if she had any cookware for Abby, but . . .I told her about the September Host Special. She said she'd think about it, and to remind her.I saw her at church on Sunday and she said to bring her the stuff for a catalog show! She already has two orders ready to go.I love my job!I generally don't do a lot of contacting on Sunday, so I didn't make calls. I did carry my PC bag while out with The Furry Guy. I chatted with a couple of people about PC, but didn't get any leads. With the holiday today, I'm doing nothin'. I'll be back at work tomorrow, though.

Friday, I booked a show with a high school friend for October. I sold a Christmas present to a SIL on Saturday. Today I was out all day at a go-cart, mini golf, laser tag, video game place. I wore my red PC t-shirt. No one asked me about PC. I did get a date from my sister for a November show.

I made a couple of calls today. Got a catalog show, but I'm not sure it will be much of anything. The host is super busy right now, but does want to take advantage of the host special to get the dbg for 60% off. I think she will just try to get the $150 in orders. That's alright, it's better than nothing!!:D

I have at least two catalog shows for this month and maybe one more. They just want the cookware at 60% off. Good for me and them. I say "Go for it!" Whatever gets me free cookware!

I called one person I had met at a fair back in late July. She actually called me back within minutes of leaving my message - she thanked me for following up with her (I had sent her a catalog a few weeks prior) and said she appreciated my persistence. She's looking towards October or later and specifically asked me to call her in early October to figure out a date. So it just goes to show you - people do want to hear from us - and it's sure nice to be told that!

Gina,It's great to be persistent. That's how I got one of my recruits. I kept sending her invites to our cluster meetings, email updates, phone calls and one day out of the blue she called and said "I'm ready- How do I get started!" I'm right with you for Level 1 -Yeh! I'm going to do it!!

Julie,

I figured if I put it in my signature - I'd have to be accountable for it and I so want it!! I'm working my business like crazy this fall:)

How do you know what wave you'll be in for next year? Is it just one more than this year?
