Hey!!! I wanna PC beach towel! Where did you get it???

Ellen, it was one of VIPs conference only things in 2006... they sold like hotcakes! I wasn't sure if I should purchase one, as I had just bought 2 beach towels last summer, but it was too stinkin' cute with flip flops all over it and the PC logo!

Oh well! Maybe Merrill will come out w/something similar......eventually!

last night was a bust for contacts, but here is what I was able to do.
Signed my last host (yayyy!!), and did a one CCC resulting in a giving a recipe. Going to work on my office today since the kids are in school and work out my "work hours".

Okay, I am back. I have been out of it for a week. My brothers and sister and their families came to visit for an overnight (from Connecticut, via Myrtle Beach) and then we all went to the Myrtle Beach area to visit our father, so I also took a day or so, or three to clean house before they arrived. Only spoke to 1 or 2 people about PC during that time, and plus my sister n law placed an order to go with her friends catty show. I will be back on the phone this evening!!

Didn't get on phone today however was pleasantly surprised - a co-worker of a friend of mine called to do a catalog show. She was out at a French Market in our town over the weekend - saw PC there and took the catalog. She went into work and mentioned about wanting to do a book show and someone said that Megan (my friend) has a consultant she uses and that she should call me. Which she did - it's for September:) and I'm dropping off the packet for her tomorrow - now I'm up to 5 cooking and 1 catalog show for September -yea!

I got 2 persons today. I did only 1 call though. the kids are keeping me busy but that is a good thing. However, I GOT A SHOW! A cooking show that is. I can't wait and it is in 2 weeks. I also got an order for another show and that is it for today. I won't take off tomorrow so I can make up for the slow week.

Oh goodness! I'm pretty tired. I had the first of two fall preview shows tonight. My second one is tomorrow late morning. I had five guests and asked each one to have a show. One wants to have a fund raiser around Christmas time. That's great! A couple of people called last minute to cancel. Tomorrow I have around 8 people coming. Hopefully they really will come. The food was really good. Sales are $171 so far. Hopefully, I'll reach $300 so I can get a half price item. Good night!

I talked to one of my past hosts that wants to place and order.

I also collected an order for a catty show a friend of mine is having. It's just over $200 but I'll take it!

Didn't do anything else though. My dad is still visiting so hopefully after he leaves tomorrow I'll get some work done.

I Booked one show yesterday for OCT!!!! Talked to three of my up coming host!!!

One of my friend's who left last night's show early, emailed me today to book a September show... yay! I also spoke with 3 of my upcoming hosts and talked to the cashier at Michaels and gave her a mini catalog. I didn't get her information, as she seemed really hesitant when I asked if she had heard of the Pampered Chef (I used my PC credit card and she was looking at it). I need to come up with a little flyer to put in those mini catalogs for when I give them to strangers...). I feel pretty good about today! Yipee!

Back to work today. At our staff meeting I had a chance to share with more than 6 co-workers my trip to Chicago. I have several new co-workers that don't know I do PC, so Thursday I'm going to touch base with them (can't Wed. we're spread out across the district for meetings). Gotta take my own advice I give and make sure I use the opportunities tomorrow to share PC (lunch time).

This is much better put than what I have tried to say earlier. I know I can want and say I am going to do but unless I do - nothing happens. I started last night with 20 calls and I look forwar to checking later today and saying I made calls again.

As long as I have the effort, I can't get down on myself, right?

It's the action that's important, not the results. You can feel proud of what you've done.

Tuesday I was out and about all day. I'm very grateful for cell phones!

I talked with several people. I believe I'll get one party out of those contacts, but nothing definite yet.

well I made 5 calls last night - 2 were host coaching, 2 were no answers, 1 is a future booking for Nov or Dec so I'll have to keep following up to get the date.
Oh, and I signed a new recruit!!

Congrats Amy!!! Way to work the 1 part of 3-2-1! That is so awesome! Can you tell us more about this recruit... did she come from a show, from your contacts...? I guess what I'm wondering is if she signed as a direct result of impletementing 3-2-1?

She was a host. This is the funny part. She was a booking off a July show, but here's what is unique. She did NOT book at the show. About a week after the show closed I called her, because while she attended the actual cooking show she did NOT place an order at the show and she left before I could ask her. But she did place an order after the fact. So, we set a date and went thru the whole host coaching. She bounced back & forth on being interested, and finally told me on the last call that "no, I'm too busy". So, when I get to her house and start setting up, she tells me that "I'm going to do this".
And to be totally honest, had I not jumped onto this thread and started working the 3-2-1, I would've probably never called her. So, in desperation to make my daily contacts one night I was able to book a show that resulted in a new recruit. This system really works!! But it does take time too. I was hatin' the 3-2-1 recently as I felt I was doing it and I was not getting results. So, I had to change what a contact meant (real person), and sometimes it takes alot more effort and time to get those 3.

One of my contacts from yesterday returned my call, and I've added another September show to my calendar! In making my calls this evening, I got an order and made a good connection to one of my customers.Love that 3-2-1!

I had 7 people at my show this morning, so I was able to connect with all of them about having a show or becoming a consultant. Between last night's show and this morning I talked to 12 people about hosting and becoming a consultant.

I spoke to a couple of the people I tried to contact on Sunday and only left messages. One of them is going to talk to her sister about a potential Bridal show. Another I am meeting for lunch next week. One e-mailed me and told me about a cracked stone. He had seemed like he would be interested inthe business and his e-mail said "not right now but he would keep it in mind".

I did have a migrane last night so not much was done as far as actions. I am working on sending an e-mail out and hopefully I will get some responses from it and back to the phones tomorrow night.

I thought this week would be pretty hectic, going back to teacher prep week. 3-2-1? When? Well I was wrong. I wore my PC shirt to the district "Hoo Rah" today. An insurance vendor saw my shirt and we talked I gained another client and potential host! Someone I met at a local fair 2 weeks ago called to talk to me about his business and after talking about PC, he ordered 40 large serving spatulas. He gives these to his clients as gifts. I talked with a new co-worker today (I'm building rapport with her). I'm comfortable enough to now talk about PC with her.Tomorrow I need to contact more than 3 that asks for me to check in August with them about booking a fall show.

No luck for me! My dad finally left but the little phone time I had left me with a bunch of answering machines. Drat! Tomorrow will be a crazy day but I'll see what I can do.

I'll be talking with everyone at my show tonight. I'll also be out and about in my PC gear, and I've got a few daytime calls to make.Doin' it. Not just planning it. :)

so yesterday I made my contacts while out & about wearing a PC shirt.
Ran into an old acquaintance, who is considering the biz, but will sign with another consultant (dang!)
Gave a business card to another, and got contact info for a lady I talked to in Costco.
As for my calls, not much luck. Was able to reach only 1 host for host coaching, 2 others left messages. And I did make a call for another potential host, but couldn't get a date. I told her what I still had available for Oct and she's going to check and call me back (yea right!).

I talked to 1 person today for a cat. show and wants info first. I did however put up business cards and the recruit flyer and Sept. flyer up at our neighborhood tollhouse cafe. I saw that 2 of my cards were taken, but that doesn't mean much but it still was a thrill! I hope to talk to 2 more tomorrow and put up more flyers and see what happens. You just never know.

What is a tollhouse cafe?

I made contact with 3 host (3 weeks out from show). Left message for future host who ask I call her in August. Emailed the new consultant flyer and toll-free number to a potential recruit. Said I would follow up next week to give her time to give me feed back. Next week I left my week empty of shows (first week back to school) I'm busy as a teacher and mom, and so are others. I will use this week to follow up with some leads, but mostly in person contacts and prepare for week 2 (3 shows).

Made lots of contats today.

My DD's teacher's sister is already a consultant. :0(

I collected a $10 order from another lady.

Talked to a friend about doing a December show (she wants the Trifle bowl)but no date set. It might be a catalog show.

Talked to another lady about possibly doing a fall show but wasn't ready to set a date.

Another friend of mine might have an order for me in the naxt couple of days.

I also closed a catty show and got my first ever "random" web order ($225)!

Did a CCContact ( I saw her in person) and although no bookings, she needs a part replaced so I will have a continued relationship with her.

More calls tomorrow!

Way to go Ellen! You rocked it today! I didn't get any contacts done yesterday, except 1 person from mon's show added to their order a $20 item...

Today, I spoke with someone who couldn't make it to Mon's show, so I answered her questions about the products and found out she has never been to a show, so suggested she hold one of her own, and described the sept and oct benefits to her. she is going to follow up with me by mon (when we are closing the show).

So I didn't get my 3 done either day, but I did at least get 1 done... that's better than none! :)

Tomorrow I have lunch plans with friends and one of them has a show on the 16th, but has to r/s, so we will pick a new date (hopefully sept, as my mon host, another friend, wanted the booking benefit). I have my road trip to milwaukee this weekend, so I'm going to try to either get my friend that I am staying with to do a catalog show, or maybe try to ask her mom (who I have called a few times before, but always left messages and then chickened out to call her back). Hopefully Tiffany will need some cookware and it will all make it easier :) and I've got 5 hours to listen to training CD's! I need to remember to pack my iPod, charger, catalogs, host packets, and some phone #s for this weekend... I can do it!

Sounds like you got a plan Alison! I HAD to get on my contacts today because I've been slacking on the calls lately. I was just hoping for another couple of bookings on my calendar KWIM? There's always tomorrow!

totally know what you mean ellen... that's why I love this thread, because I can see that when other people are lacking in bookings they get on the phone; which makes me realize I need to get on the phone. It's totally inspirational while also making us want to work good, so we can report success on here!

Oh ya, I also spent a while trying to figure out what to do w/my one and only recruit. She has to submit $200 order by tomorrow night or we will have to put her in for her THIRD leave of absence! She has a September catty show and I was hoping she would get something in for this month because the Sept. on will keep her going and if she didn't have anything by the end of November, she'd still have one more leave of absence to use. Her (and my) friend is going to try to come up with a $200 show by the end of the day tomorrow. If not, we will have no choice but to do the leave of absence. She only needs one more to qualify! (and for me to get my 2000 points!)
