I've been on a calling spree today - called 17 past guests - talked to a handful of them. One is looking at her calendar for a possible March show - another wants a mini serving spatula. Not a lot but at least I'm in the groove again. And I've got many more past guests to call.

Gina, that is awesome! Now I'm inspired to get on the phone!!

Yesterday I had four contacts. Three of those were requests for catalogs. I'll be following up, of course. I plan to make calls this evening, including calls to those I sent catalogs to last week.

Amy,

I always feel better after I've called as well - it gets me pumped up for the next day - good luck with your calls!

today:
Recruiting interview:p went well, she's interested but no signature yet;)
booked a March show:D
CCC's - nothing great yet

of course, I've also done the all important host coaching too! Tonight is my DH workout night so it'll be hit or miss on calls tonight - depends on the kiddos. Oh, and Wednesdays are a big church night around here, so not expecting much

sure is quiet...............hope you are all out doing shows!!

No contacts for me today. I will hopefully get some tonight at church though. Wednesdays are a hard day for me to make contacts. Even though I haven't been doing the 3 everyday, I have been doing more on the days I do them to make up for the days I don't do them.

My contacts for today were:

~ called to check on one of my fence sitters. She is still on the fence, but thinking about doing a show soon. I will follow up with her in a couple of weeks.

~ Received a call from a customer that placed an outside order at last Monday's show. She received an extra product. She is a former consultant, who got out of it because she had gotten busy with kids schedules, etc. Sounds like restarting her business is not totally out of the question, but not right now.

~ Made a couple ccc calls with no significant outcome, but did get an e-mail address from one of the customers.

~ Followed up with a guest from a December show about booking a Feb. show. She booked Feb. 12th! Yeah for double points. (as long as I can get her to close in time).

~ I called another booking lead from a December show, and she was busy, and told me she would call me back. Haven't heard back from her yet, so I will try back in a few days.

Also closed out a show, corresponded with a catty show via e-mail, and picked up an order from another host.

today has been a weird day! First we had snow, which meant my show for today rescheduled:grumpy: So, I took the time that I would be out with my show to get on the phone, and here's my advice

call your old leads!!!!!!
Most all of them sounded really happy to hear from me! Mind you these were from a craft fair in OCTOBER! But they had specifically marked for me to call them after the holidays, and not wanting to be a pest I followed their directions!:D
So, I have a February Cooking Show
a February Catalog Show
1 serious/hot February New Recruit:D :D (she's nursing a knee injury right now, but asked tons of the "red flag" questions)
A potential March/April Show - wants me to call back "for sure"

Now, had my show not cancelled I would not have made these calls. God is good!!:D

oh, also got in some GREAT host coaching too!

Wow! You go girl!

I only made two contacts today, plus host coaching.

One contact had no further interest, and the second was a customer ordering from a current catty host that had some questions. She is thinking about booking a March show!

Oh! During one of my host coaching calls for next Friday's show, I mentioned the opportunity, and the benefits that hosts have of starting their business, and the hostess said, well, we will see how the show goes, and then go from there! so, there is a glimmer of hope!

How is everyone else doing with their 3-2-1? I know there are some of you that are MIA!!!

Brenda - I hope it works out with your host! Remember to let her know that she doesn't have to marry PC, just go on 4 dates to see how she likes it!

I went to a Southern Living Party tonight. Man, that stuff is expensive! Cute though! I had a hard time finding something to get though because I kept saying to myself, I can get that through PC, and for way less!

Anyway, I ended up making some contacts there. The host is going to want to do a PC show in the summer sometime. The consultant's daughter is getting proposed to on Saturday (but doesn't know it yet ) and the consultant is going to want to do a PC shower for her. Then I was talking to some of the guests and I was sure I knew one from somewhere. We went through the whole gambit of different places/people and the last thing I mentioned was PC and maybe it was a party. It wasn't, but I was able to pass out some mini catalogs. I did all of this after the SL party/presentation was over and only when it came up in conversation. I didn't really initiate it. I usually don't say anything at all about PC at other shows, but it just happened tonight!

The only contact I had today resulted in an order for a ladle. At least it's something. LOL. I'll take what I can get at this point.

I have not read through this thread, but on my way to work today, I listened to the audio CD of the change over kit. Jean Jonas talks about the 3-2-1 and I felt inspired. I have physically not been able to be home to make many calls this week, but it gave me a little boost!! (a kick in the can may be more appropriate!!):D

Taking A Break...Hey Everyone! I haven't posted on here in several days....mainly because I haven't been doing my 3-2-1 like I should.
I have found myself too caught up in all of the non-business posts here on CS, and have really let that take up way to much of my time. I have been thinking today about what I am doing for my business (or not doing) and what I want my business to look like, and where I want it to go - and what I am doing right now is in no way helping me achieve my goals....

SO - I am going to take a break from CS for a week. I need to go cold turkey, because I seem to have no will power when it comes to only checking the threads that will help me in my goals....

I am committing to you right now that I will be spending the time that I have been spending on CS working my business instead....and I will report back in a week to let you know how I've done!

Now - I just have to go do a couple more posts to tie up a few loose ends - and then I'll be logging off for the week!

We will miss you Becky, but good for you!! I need to take your lead and do the same thing! (Not that I am committing to that!;) ) Good Luck, I know you will have great things to report back!

Well, I had one contact yesterday, but she turned out to be a possible recruit lead.I'll be making calls this evening.

Oh Becky, we will miss you! But please do let us know how you did with your business over the week!

My contacts for today were:

~I had a past catty host from October e-mail me and ask for some catalogs. A few of her coworkers may want to order! So I sent out a host kit for her!

~Followed up on a Feb booking lead from a Nov show guest. I left her a voicemail, and she called me back 15 minutes later to book a Feb 8th show!!! Go Double Points!!!!!

~Did a customer care call and booked another February catty show. (That makes 5 catty shows and 5 kitchen shows for February )

~Followed up with a possible booking lead. She asked that I call her back (again) next week when she returns to work and can check her calendar.

~Another contact was at work and asked that I call back tomorrow. I also left a few voicemails (that I do not count as contacts).

small show, signed the host!

Last night I had four contacts with no visible results. I'm a true believer, though, that those connections make a difference.

Had a show last night - only 6 people were there (only 5 ordered) but it was a good crowd who really paid attention to what I was saying and I felt good connections with. Didn't get any bookings but good to get back into my show groove!

So far today I've just did a host coaching call (but it was much needed) and I've gotten an order for 2 heart dishes. I still have some calls to make though.

i'm lazy today, don't feel like making calls at all. Did talk to a friend about doing a show in March. SHe's interested in doing a couples show so we'll see. Also gave spoke to a man briefly about cookware (at a candle party no less:eek: ) Gave him a business card. He even was talking up a cooking show to my friend!:D :D I "know" she'll host, just gotta nail her to a date.

And Ellen, I keep forgetting about that dang heart dish. I think I'm going to send out an email next week and try to round up some orders just from those to submit as a show. 'Course if they want more I'll help 'em with that too!;)

show today, good size group, but some were couples so you know what that means....only 1 checkbook. The host did a great job. I did Becky's Fajita Bar and made it interactive. Need to work on that more. It definitely shortens my time, but I feel out of whack. 1 booking for JUNE!!! It's far out I know, but it was a couple who booked it and HE is very excited. He wants the knives:D AND they have a pool with a tiki hut so they want it outside. The host told me to expect a HUGE crowd for their show as they are big entertainers and they own their own company so they have alot of contacts!;)

Still here.... Getting some contacts in but not enough!
This week I did book a friend I have been trying to book for 6 months and had a short chat with my current CM gal She is a 2nd grade teacher here in town. She wants to do a show over the summer to get new cookware.

Tomorrow I am going to do some work in my office, make some calls and get host coaching in.

You guy's Rock! Keep it goin!

I did get one or two contacts in yesterday, but no contacts today (I allow myself to take Sunday away from the phone), although I did get a call back from next Sunday's host, to talk about her show, and I told her about the business opportunity. She said she has thought about it in the past, but is very unorganized. I came back with talk about the condition of my "office", and told her to look at the materials I sent her.

I sent out some emails (one to a woman I've been trying to book since Jan. 2007 and she finally committed to an April 19th show! Yea! I knew she would eventually book but it's good to see on my calendar. Still going to try and book a few more people this week as well.

I had one contact on Saturday. I received a call from the mason we contacted about an estimate for fixing our chimney. In giving him directions to our house, I mentioned the PC sign at the end of our driveway. He asked if I sold PC. I assured him I did. He said he had just recently butchered a deer using a PC knife and was considering getting another. I agreed to have a catalog waiting for him when he arrived. (When he came by today, he said he had mentioned to his wife that he'd be picking up a catalog today. She told him that her friend's sister just became a consultant. I told him that was just fine. I encouraged him to take the catalog so they'd have one. If they contact the friend's sister, it's okay with me. If nothing else, he's got my contact info for future reference.)Yesterday I made two contacts, giving catalogs to each.I'll be making calls this evening.

I made about 13 calls on Saturday. Lots of machines, but I did get someone that wants to book a March or April show but wouldn't be able to set the date for another week or two.

Got a small order and also a February Catalog show. The rest were customer care calls and a host coaching call and answering machines. I still have lots of calls to make if I want to have a good February though.

Got in my 3 contacts today. Didn't have any visible results, but customer care is always important.

My contacts today were:

~Talked to a guest from a November show that is getting married in May and was interested in the registry. Originally, the host from that show was going to sign, but ended up not signing, so I called this guest to follow up and let her know I can help her out, etc. I am going to call again in late February to talk about the registry and a bridal shower.

~A customer care call with no visible results.

~A guest that attended a show in Dec., but did not order, and had checked maybe for hosting a catty show with Feb. as the month. The same host is now doing a January catty show, and the person is placing an order this time. I told her the new catty comes out in March. She may host a late Spring show. I told her I will send her a new mini-catty when I get them, and follow up with her.

ETA: ~ Thought I was done making calls, but I got the itch, and squeezed one more in. This call was to a lead from a Holiday Market booth I did the first weekend of November that checked all "NO's" on the DPDS. Well, guess what?! She booked a show for February 9th!!! That goes to show, you should call everyone!!!!! She was a little hesitant, and didn't think she knew enough people. (Her first question was how many people do you need to have a show), but I assured her we could work on her guest list together.

I double booked February 9th too, because I have been trying to contact the host that has a brunch show scheduled for that day, but have not heard back from her, SO.............if she is indeed MIA, no need to worry, and if she does come through, then it is a little extra work, but double points!!!!
