tonight's show....we did fajitas in the DCB (loving this!) and then had a quick wrap up. Before I was even back to the kitchen to sit and do orders, one gal leans over and asks "how do it do this--I want to be a consultant"JACKPOT!!! We're talking more tomorrow. :D:D

What were you saying about 'if you can't change your team, change your team'?;)

happy for you :)

Wow this is awesome. I LOVE this thread!! Meg, that is incredible about your day at the pool -holy cow!! And you're in the CN (by the way did you just see it online or did you get your hard copy yet?)

And DEB, that's great about your HOT HOT recruit lead from your show. Keep us posted.

Although my August sucks for shows, I have recruited FOUR people in the last month, actually more like just the last 3 weeks. I need to look at those facts for now since two in August cancelled and I'm down to just ONE show, but desperately trying to get more. How sad. BUT I did hand out a recruiting packet to a mom at my daughter's ballet class yesterday AND another mom wants to host a show, HOPEFULLY August. The mom who I gave the packet to was chatting with a couple of us and mentioned how she had to start finding a job because things were starting to get tough financially and her husband went through a spurt of unemployment recently. Ding, ding ding!!! The lightbulb went off in my head and I happened to have some info with me (not the entire packet I usually hand out, but enough - the Come Join Us brochure and the DVD) so I gave it to her. I'm going to try to call her today and set up a FACE TO FACE interview. The last two I did that with one signed the next day and the other one probably will in the next week or so. Yay!! She'd LOVE it. She was telling me that she just hosted a baby shower and got totally into the entertaining aspect of it, making everything really cute and people told her she should do something along the lines of using that talent, so here we are!!

I'm a little stressed today (ok I'm babbling on now...) because tonight we're throwing my parents are SURPRISE 40th anniversary party with 30 of their friends at a fun little martini lounge in Geneva. I've never done anything like this before. I'm freaking out about the actual surprise part and really crossing my fingers that it goes off without a hitch. We're going to the pool all day with my mom, my sister who's in town from WA and my uncle and cousins (10 and 12) who are in town from MI. Aaaahhh!! Thank God we weren't planning on doing the party here at home. This weekend is nuts and I have no time to get on the phone because then tomorrow we're going to brunch with all of us and my grandpa, then straight to my in-laws for my BIL's birthday. It's crazy!!!

Ok, sorry for the LONG post. I really rambled.......:o

well, another stellar day for me! I spoke to the young lady from Tuesday nights show and she has booked a catalog show that we are either going to use as her first show or use for kit credit, depending on orders! I imagine she'll be on board by mid-month.

Then, I came home tonight to find a HO lead that wants info on the opportunity! I called her, she is still moving into a new house and says "I home school our kids and I need a part-time job I can work around my family"........YEAH! She wants to wait until September to sign since she is so new to the area, which I totally understand!
Now I just need 2 more folks to decide to be my pierogies!!!
