Bent Tip on Consultant's Knife: Has anyone else had this issue?

All,
I recieved an e-mail from a constultant in my cluster that she used her new knife on her stoneware and it bent the tip. She is sending it back today. No where in the literature did she find that she shouldn't use the knives on the stoneware. I was wondering if anyone else has had that problem?

I'm sorry to hear that the consultant had an issue with their knife. It's possible that the stoneware was too hard for the knife and caused it to bend. I would recommend speaking with the manufacturer of the knife to see if they have any recommendations for using knives on stoneware without causing damage. It would also be a good idea to check the product literature that came with the knife to make sure that using it on stoneware is indeed safe.
