Beat the Heat: Enjoy the Benefits of Central Air

In summary, it is recommended to have your central air system serviced at least once a year for optimal efficiency and to catch any potential issues. The recommended temperature for summer is between 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit, but may vary depending on personal preferences and outside temperature. Regularly changing air filters, sealing air leaks, and scheduling annual maintenance can improve efficiency. The size of the central air system needed depends on factors such as home size and climate. Zoning techniques, such as installing multiple thermostats and dampers, can be used to cool specific areas of the home.

It is so amazing what cental air can do. We just turned the air on yesterday since our house has been over 80 degrees for the last few days. And my 2 yr old is still asleep. I think she was waking up early cause her room was so hot. I hated turning it on right now it just seems so early.

I completely agree!! My dh installed an attic fan and we've been using that but it's exceptionally hot today. I JUST turned the air on 10 minutes ago since I'm getting ready for my 3rd show in 3 days!! I also had to turn it on during the fires in the beginning of the week and we all took naps!!

I completely agree, central air is a game changer! It's amazing how quickly it can cool down a hot house and make it comfortable for everyone. And I totally understand not wanting to turn it on so early, but sometimes it's necessary for our little ones' comfort. I'm sure your 2-year-old will sleep much better now. Enjoy the cool air!
