I went to host coach someone tonight only to realize I had the number wrong. Her 6 looked like a 0. To my luck, I have printed all her invites (per printer issues talked about in another thread) with the wrong number! Ugh! Now I will have to white out the number and hand write it in. At least I caught it now instead of after the invites went out.

Dang! I hate when that kind of thing happens. I'm with you, though. Better before they're mailed than after.

Been there, done that...except we didn't catch it til the invites went out.
Thankfully the host was a past consultant and was totally understanding. She had a great sense of humor about it and we ended up with a $900 show...

I have done it as well. and yes the invites went out! All was well though and show was arround $900.

When you called the wrong number did you offer them a show? LOL

Frequently Asked Questions

What is host coaching and why is it important for Pampered Chef parties?

Host coaching is the process of guiding and supporting your host to ensure a successful party. It is important because it helps the host understand their role, encourages them to invite the right guests, and provides them with tips on how to engage attendees. Effective host coaching can lead to higher attendance, increased sales, and a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

What are common mix-ups that can occur during host coaching?

Common mix-ups during host coaching can include miscommunication about party dates, unclear expectations regarding guest lists, and misunderstandings about the types of products to showcase. Additionally, hosts may not fully grasp the importance of follow-ups or reminders, leading to lower guest engagement.

How can I resolve host coaching mix-ups before sending out invites?

To resolve host coaching mix-ups, have a clear and open conversation with your host. Confirm the party date, discuss the guest list, and clarify any expectations. Provide a checklist or timeline for the host to follow, and encourage them to reach out with any questions. This proactive approach will help ensure everyone is on the same page before invites are sent out.

What should I do if my host is confused about their role?

If your host is confused about their role, take the time to explain their responsibilities clearly. Outline what is expected of them, such as inviting guests, preparing the space, and engaging with attendees during the party. Offer to provide resources or tools that can help them feel more confident in their role, and remind them that you are there to support them throughout the process.

How can I ensure my host feels supported throughout the coaching process?

To ensure your host feels supported, maintain regular communication and check in frequently. Offer encouragement and share tips that can help them succeed. Be available for questions and provide positive feedback on their efforts. Additionally, consider setting up a group chat or shared document where they can access information and connect with you easily.
