A question for my fellow directors...

Do you encourage your downline to join this site?
What sort of response do you get?
Do you offer to pay their membership fee for them?

I know this isn't really answering your question Carolyn, but thought I throw it out here as I've heard that some directors are not supportive of using sites like this. My director isn't a member here but she does pop in from time to time and see as much as she's allowed with out membership. She's always asking me what's new here and did I get any GREAT ideas lately. I'm sure she's planning to join, just really busy with work, life, and PC. She's completely supportive of me using this site!

That being said, when I become a director (and one of these days I will be) I would ENCOURAGE my consultants to join and become a CHEFFER!

I haven't yet. One of my newest girls found it on her own and was the reason she finally signed. She saw that even us veterans have some of the same concerns that she had--so she thought she should just give it a try! yeah!

I feel that my newest people are overwhelmed by everything and to have them come here might really be too much. Although I do think this is a great site, just too addicting! I think as they get comfortable I might bring it up. Although it is mentioned at our monthly meetings so they can always ask about it.

My director has encouraged everyone in her group to join! I would too! I think knowledge is power!

As a director I have told some of my consultants about it. However I do not really say much more than that. The problems with sites like this is that some people spend way too much time using them. (I have been there too!) I feel that especially in the beging, the time and effort should be spend doing things that will directly affect your business. Then you can use a site like this to get extra tips and info.

Frequently Asked Questions

What strategies do you use to encourage your team members in direct sales?

Many directors find success by setting clear goals and providing regular feedback. Encouraging team members to share their successes and challenges in group meetings can also foster a supportive environment. Additionally, offering incentives for reaching milestones can motivate team members to stay engaged and productive.

How do you handle team members who are struggling with sales?

It's important to approach struggling team members with empathy and support. I recommend having one-on-one conversations to understand their challenges and provide personalized guidance. Offering additional training or resources, and pairing them with a more experienced team member for mentorship can also help them regain confidence and improve their sales skills.

What role does recognition play in motivating your team?

Recognition is crucial in direct sales as it boosts morale and encourages team members to strive for success. I make it a point to celebrate both small and large achievements, whether through shout-outs in team meetings, social media posts, or rewards. This not only motivates the individual but also inspires others in the team.

How often do you communicate with your team?

Regular communication is key to maintaining a motivated team. I typically check in with my team weekly through group meetings and encourage daily communication via messaging apps. This ensures that everyone feels connected and supported, and it allows for quick sharing of tips, resources, and encouragement.

What tips do you have for fostering a positive team culture?

Fostering a positive team culture involves creating an inclusive and supportive environment. I encourage open communication, where team members feel safe to share ideas and feedback. Organizing team-building activities and celebrating successes together can also strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration within the team.
