I want to BarBQ chicken breasts tonight - any suggestions on a marinate or sauce that I could do? I was thinking of doing the Strawberry Spinach salad with it....

Do you have the Barbecue Rub? That is awesome. It has a great smoky flavor and aroma.

I did a new recipe the other night -

1 can cranberry sauce (I used the jelled, although the recipe called for whole berry)
1 pkg. french onion soup mix
1 cup BBQ sauce (I made sauce using the PC Pork tenderloin sauce recipe)

mix this all together and pour over chicken pieces. Bake at 375 for 1 hour.

The family loved it!

Hi there! As a Pampered Chef consultant, I have a few suggestions for a delicious BBQ chicken dinner tonight. For the chicken breasts, I recommend using our BBQ Chicken Rub for a flavorful and easy marinade. Simply rub it on the chicken and let it sit for about 30 minutes before grilling. If you prefer a sauce, our Sweet & Smoky BBQ Sauce is a crowd-pleaser and pairs well with chicken. For the Strawberry Spinach salad, I suggest using our Oil & Vinegar Mix and adding some sliced strawberries and almonds for a sweet and tangy twist. Happy cooking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some easy marinade ideas for BBQ chicken?

Some easy marinade ideas for BBQ chicken include a simple mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and your favorite herbs. You can also try a teriyaki sauce combined with ginger and sesame oil for an Asian twist, or a blend of soy sauce, honey, and mustard for a sweet and savory flavor.

How long should I marinate chicken for BBQ?

For the best flavor, you should marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes, but ideally, 2 to 4 hours is recommended. If you have more time, marinating overnight in the refrigerator can enhance the flavor even further.

Can I use store-bought sauces as marinades for BBQ chicken?

Absolutely! Store-bought sauces can be a convenient and tasty option for marinating BBQ chicken. Just make sure to choose a sauce that complements your flavor preferences, such as BBQ sauce, teriyaki sauce, or even a salad dressing.

What ingredients can I add to my marinade for extra flavor?

You can enhance your marinade by adding ingredients like fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or cilantro), spices (like paprika, cumin, or chili powder), and acidic components (like vinegar or citrus juice). Adding a bit of honey or brown sugar can also provide a nice caramelization when grilling.

Is it safe to reuse marinade after using it on raw chicken?

No, it is not safe to reuse marinade that has been in contact with raw chicken due to the risk of bacterial contamination. If you want to use the marinade as a sauce after cooking, set aside a portion before adding the raw chicken, or boil the used marinade for at least 5 minutes to kill any harmful bacteria.
