I was thinking of making the pasta seperate and just making the chicken in the oven for that one. I have a hostess who doesn't have a microwave (seriously??) but I dont want to give up the potential sales. Was thinking of taking my own---is that ridiculous?

No - although I think it sounds good, and I should try it at home. DS loves Stove Top Stuffing, and I make the 30 Min Chicken for us a couple times a month!I almost always am doing Garlic Biscuit Bites w/ them, and lately I've been doing the bread w/ oils...so I've never had a chance to do a different kind of bread.Tomorrow I am doing the Chicken w/ biscuit bites, and Strawberry Spinach Salad. I know it sounds like a lot, but it's so much fun to show people a whole meal in 30 minutes, and I want to show off the UM for July. One of the most popular recipes to demo with the Deep Covered Baker (DCB) is the Chicken and Rice Casserole. It's a crowd-pleaser that showcases the versatility of the DCB and how it can be used for both savory and hearty meals.
This recipe is great for demos because it highlights the DCB's ability to cook evenly and retain moisture. It also allows you to show how easy it is to prepare a complete meal in one dish, making it appealing to busy families.
Absolutely! The Chicken and Rice Casserole can be customized by adding different vegetables, using various types of cheese, or substituting the chicken for another protein like turkey or tofu. This flexibility makes it a fantastic recipe to showcase during a demo.
The preparation time for the Chicken and Rice Casserole is typically around 10-15 minutes, and it takes about 30-40 minutes to cook in the microwave or oven, depending on the specific recipe and the power of your microwave.
To ensure a successful demo, prepare all your ingredients in advance and have them organized. Engage your audience by sharing tips on how to use the DCB effectively, and encourage them to ask questions. Lastly, offer samples if possible, as tasting the dish can significantly boost interest in the product.
