Why when your son wants a scooby doo birthday party, that NO ONE locally has the party supplies you need??

I swear last year there was a bazillion stores that carried scooby doo party supplies....this year they don't...this year it is hannah montana, cars, backyardigans, iron man, etc.....every freaking thing BUT scooby doo!

And each birthday party we have given him has been the same...

1st (2006) - Curious George ( I think this was the year the movie came out and every place was sold out....finally ended up finding a few things but paid an arm and a leg for them!)

2nd (2007) - Thomas the Tank Engine (ended up ordering online because I couldn't find anything locally)

3rd (2008) - Scooby doo ( was going to order online, but I have been so busy, that his party just snuck up on me....it is next Sat! So I don't have time to order things online unless I want to pay like $30 for 2nd day shipping!)

It just amazes me how these stores "claim" to have all of your party needs yet they don't! And since they don't it just makes things more difficult for the parent.

So this year he is having yellow plates, napkins, and cups with a scooby doo image pasted onto the cups. :)

And next year I assume he is going to want Cars theme, so I guess I had better get the party stuff now instead of waiting until next year huh?? Cuz our track record says...next year i won't be able to find ANYTHING cars related!

GRRR.....

Do you still have time to get stuff? You could try Oriental Trading online; they always have good stuff & ship pretty fast.

OH OH OH! Elizabeth! I can help! I found a great on-line source with terrific prices, and they guarantee 3 day delivery for $5.95! I ordered Tuesday, and it's being delivered today!

LOL - DS has suddenly become obsessed with Scooby, and his birthday is this Sunday!

Let me go find it for you - I'll be back in a minute!

Okay, here it is!

Birthdaydirect.com

Why? Because you want and NEED it ~ seems to always happen that way. STINKS! Hope you find it!

So note to self: if you see cars theme in the stores NOW, BUY IT FOR LATER! You can always use it for something else if DS changes his mind!
