Which tool is best for mashing refried beans?

In summary, the best tool to use for mashing up refried beans is a potato masher. To prevent the beans from sticking to the pan, continuously stir while mashing and consider adding oil or butter. While a blender can be used, it may result in a smoother consistency. The duration of mashing depends on personal preference, but 3-5 minutes is generally sufficient. Other ingredients can be added for added flavor, but should be incorporated gradually while continuing to mash and stir the beans.

I use our pastry blender to mash up all kinds of things!

Hi there! As a pampered chef consultant, I would highly recommend using the Mix N Mash for mashing refried beans. This tool is specifically designed for mashing and mixing, making it perfect for creating creamy and smooth refried beans. The nylon masher may work as well, but the Mix N Mash's unique design and sturdy construction will ensure that your beans are mashed to perfection. Happy cooking!
