RE: Coach _ - I would LOVe one of them but I really want a Louis Vitton. I settle for Tommy Hilfiger instead - that is my FAV brand name.

This Sept. when I went to Paris I went to the LV store!!! LOVED IT, got my Speedy 25 bag:D I told my hubby when I die to please tuck it under my arm, I want to go out in style:D :D

I never do lists for my honey, he has to be the best gift giver in the world. Always buys the nicest things and spend forever wrapping them just so. I'm very very lucky:p

Both our parents are getting new PC cookware this year....

My hubby bought me a Gucci bag last year when he went to Mexico. It's awesome and so cute and he got it in black and white so it goes with anything....but it's too small to really use except for show. It's probably a knock off but I love it.

And I got my christmas wish...sorta! Hubby is coming home sooner than scheduled YAY! But not for Christmas...just in time for our daughters birthday and to go out for New Years.

I won't be on here for days due to travelling back home, so

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
:D

Well we just went and bought my x-mas present. We just bought a new sofa & love seat brand new. We went everywhere in town, & all the furn. sold the same brand so we went with who would give us the best deal.

One store really nice sales guy 1,550 for the set w/ free del. & pick up

next store on sale 1,399 free del. & no free pick up (the sales guy was slimey and glued himself to us both times we were in the store. I think he told me the same info 5 million times)

3rd store dealt w/ the owner really nice, left us alone, no preasure. He told us the price for the set was 1,349. We were talking and were going to take it w/ free del. & free pick up of our old stuff. Then he came back and said I will give it to you for 1,189. Of course we said sold!!!! So tomorrow they are delivering my new furniture. I am so excited!!!!:)

Awesome - it reaaly pays to shop around! You'll have to post pictures!

My christmas list has grown to ASTRONOMICAL proportions since I was about 25 and learned what The Potery Barn was!!! So every year, I get a nice GC from some family member who does not want to see me break down and weep like a baby in front of the other family members if I dont get my annual Potery Barn GC. I only get about $100.00 which means I have ALOT of pillows all over my house (I swear that is the cheapist thing in that store and even those are ridiculous...but WHO CARES!!!). I cant wait to go get another!!:D

I know it sounds cheesy, but I am WAY more excited to see my children open their presents than I ever was to open my own!

Now, I wouldn't turn down some cool scrapbooking stuff or some iPod accessories, but honestly I could care less!!

So true Gill, it's all about the kiddies and their suprises that is the best part of Christmas morning! But it's also when DH suprises me some years!

I agree Gillian! :D I can not wait until Monday! My sister, her hubby, my mom and my nephew (who is 2 1/2~same age as my daughter) are coming here to my home on Christmas Eve so I CAN NOT WAIT to see the toddlers open up their gifts!! My boys are 4 & 6 so they are patiently waiting for Christmas to FINALLY get here. It's going to be A TON of fun on Christmas morning! I can't wait!!! :D :D

My daughter LOVES DORA and pretty much everything she is getting is Dora. She isn't going to know what to do!:p

Hey, did you ever get the PS3 at a decent deal? I don't remember reading if you did or didn't? IF you did, does dh know?;)

I bought one on eBay for $650. It was expensive, but worth it!! It got here on December 15th and DH all of a sudden got an urge to go buy a new game for his old playstation on the 16th. The games are $50 and I didn't want him to spend $50 on something that wouldn't work on his new one. I joked around with him hoping he would drop it saying that I already bought him that game but he knew better.

Finally I gave in and gave him his present. He was so excited and it was WONDERFUL to tell him that PC bought it for us!! He has played it everyday since then!

As for the kids-

My DD will be 3 on 12/27 and we got her the Twin Time Dollhouse as her big present. I set it all up so she can play with it right when she gets up like Santa left it there for her. She LOVES Disney Princesses so she got some Princess stuff (books, jammies, etc.) and moon sand. With her birthday on Wednesday she is pretty much in a toy coma from 12/24-12/28.

My DS is 19 months and got the Weebelot Castle, a magna doodle and some other little stuff. We try not to go overboard because DH and I both have huge families and the kids just get dumped on.

I'm totally excited to see my 2 1/2 yr olds face Christmas Morning!!! All he keeps asking for is a "big" train set. He's crazy about trains! (One like on Polar Express) He asked Santa for one, and I can't believe how tenacious he has been in wanting it! He has an old corded phone that he has claimed as his own, and every night for the past 2 weeks, he brings it to my DH and asks him to call Santa to make sure he has a train for him. It is so totally adorable to watch my husband have a conversation w/ Santa about how many trains he has left, and if one of them has a tag on it that says "For Micah"....and discuss the requirements for getting a train (being good, picking up toys, etc...) and to make sure he checks his list twice......Micah sits there totally wrapped up in the conversation from our end...but he's too scared to talk to Santa himself...(thank goodness!)
My husband is like a kid about it too - he has it all planned out to have the train set up and running around the tree Christmas morning when Micah gets up! I can hardly wait myself!

I can relate! My sons have ALL the pieces to the Geo Trax system and we don't have room for the system to be up ALL the time so most of the time it justs sits in 4 big buckets!

Gillian - My friend (neighbor) has 2 German Sheppards they are great dogs but they bark so much that they drive me crazy. Also she had a hard time with her house insurance company because they are agrasive dogs. She had to get a new insurance company and she had a hard time with it. She had a dog that died a few years ago that had a hip problem too.

My DH and I don't do large gifts at Christmas, we get a few things for each other and fill our stockings. I CAN'T WAIT for Christmas morning, my son is 7 and he is so excited.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and fun with family and friends.

Michelle

You guys are all so cute. My children are older (25, 24 and 16).

My oldest just came up from Indy for Christmas...my 2nd oldest (a daughter) is working Chris Eve and Day (she is a supervisor at a casino boat here), they both are really easy to buy for (GIFT CARDS!!).

My 16 year old son already knows what he is getting (do you think I would even TRY to pick something out for a 16 year old????) besides, he is taking his driver's test two days after Christmas, and that's really ALL he wants!

Wish we had little ones to watch, too. I pull out the old VCR Home movies on x-mas to watch all the years when it was way more funny to watch them open gifts!

OMG, Janice, you don't look old enough to have a 26 year old!;)

  • #68
I agree! I hope I look like you when my oldest is 25!!

Thanks for the nice comments!! I must say that I had my children young...and I have good genes, but to tell you the truth, the outside looks good and the inside is falling apart!! ;) Gained way too much weight this year with PC, so I am on the treadmill daily now -- back surgery a few years ago, so I still have aches and pains...I am 44 on January 17th...ughhh!

I don't know how people have kids later in life! I could never keep up with them!

Keep the cute stories coming, love them!:)

Well my 21/2 year old is driving me crazy. I can't keep the ornaments on the tree, I had to trash all my candy canes because he kept putting them in the sofa, or I would find him hiding in the closet eating them. Then last week I was in the shower, and came out to find him opening his presents. He tells me he opened Gracie's Mater. So it will be fun to have him open it and know that it is his Mater. Then talking w/ the family everyone bought him Thomas the train sets. My house is going to be filled with tracks. I think he is getting 4 sets all different. This is the first x-mas he is interested in opening his presents I can't wait!!!

My Dh and I were sitting on the couch talking at 7 am this morning. Well, my 6 year old rolls out of bed, walks past us and walks to the living room. My dh and I are looking at other already knowing that he has his days mixed up! So, he looks at the tree and obviously sees no presents so he says "Why didn't Santa come? We've been good." We were so sad and told him to come over so we could explain to him. He felt better but I remember feeling all that excitement when I was little!

Tomorrow will be a blast! I CAN'T WAIT!!!:D

Janice~I agree with the above posts! When I read that, I had to re-read!!;)

Janice, I agree with you. being empty-nesters is really no fun. I cannot wait for Grandchildren so Christmas morning will be fun again. My oldest (24) spent the night with us last night, but refuses to sleep in the guest room, so she is camped out in the family room rightnow. My youngest (20) had to work last night. She lives downstate, and is coming in on the noon train. and will be with us for a couple days. nEveryone else will be here at 3:00 PM, to eat and open presents. We decided on an Italian Christmas this year, so we are having lasagna and the works.
