My husband and I are separated but I still help him out from time to time. He is re-starting his catering business...he's going into people's homes and cooking meals for them. He did a great Thanksgiving dinner for 8 and now has the opportunity to cook for a day for a ballet instructor. I am trying to think of a cute name for his business. What do you think of these or do you have a better idea??

I like Chef for a Day and Food Well Done

I don't really think that I would go with anything that makes it sound like that is all that it is. Like the Gluten Free one..or the kids one..it is ok to let people know that he offers that..but if that is the name people are going to think that that is all that he does.

I like

Chef for a Day

or

At your Service (Chef for a day)

I also like a play on one of them but not the whole thing..what about

Cooking from the Heart

Or

Let Fred Do It

Or

Let Fred Cook For You

I don't know..I am just thinking here. These are just some thought that popped into my head.

I like Plated Just For You, with out the "just"... as in Plated For You.
Or Plated For You by Fred.

I alos like At Your Service... but to me that seems like it would imply more than just catering.

Definitely Chef for a Day.

When I had my personal chef business, I called it Convenient Cuisine. :):chef:

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some creative name ideas for my husband's catering business?

Consider names that reflect his culinary style or the type of cuisine he specializes in. For example, if he focuses on Italian food, names like "Bella Cucina Catering" or "Taste of Tuscany" could work. Alternatively, you could use his name, such as "John's Gourmet Catering," or play with words related to food, like "Savory Solutions" or "Delicious Delights."

How can I incorporate our family name into the catering business name?

Using your family name can add a personal touch to the business. You might consider names like "Smith Family Catering" or "Johnson's Kitchen Creations." This approach not only makes the business feel more intimate but also helps in building a brand that customers can connect with.

Should the name reflect the type of events he will cater?

Yes, it's a good idea to reflect the type of events he will cater in the name. If he focuses on weddings, names like "Elegant Events Catering" or "Forever Feasts" could be suitable. For corporate events, consider names like "Professional Palate Catering" or "Corporate Cuisine." This helps potential clients immediately understand the services offered.

How important is it to have a unique name for the catering business?

Having a unique name is very important as it helps distinguish the business from competitors. A unique name can also make it easier for customers to remember and recommend the business. Conducting a quick search to ensure the name isn't already in use can help avoid potential legal issues and brand confusion.

Can I use a fun or quirky name for the catering business?

Absolutely! A fun or quirky name can make the business more memorable and approachable. Names like "Yummy in My Tummy Catering" or "Fork & Feast" can convey a sense of personality and creativity. Just make sure it aligns with the brand image you want to project and resonates with your target audience.
