Our family is off to our vacation for four nights, five days to Houston, TX. We live in San Antonio, TX so it's not going to be a long drive (3 hours) but it's going to be fun.
We have the whole vacation planned out with Aquariums, beach at Galveston, Houston zoo, movie, Galleria Ice skating, Mountasia mini golf, Kemah Boardwalk, etc......
My kids are excited and so am I. It's going to be our big fun getaway before the new baby comes in July and we start up school again in August.

Anyone from Houston, TX? Got any good tips on traffic, restaurants, fun boat rides in Galveston that I might have missed.
We have some great restaurants picked out already but not for every meal. The Rainforest cafe in Galveston is a must, Kalaidescoop ice cream parlor, lunch at the zoo, lunch at Kemah Boardwalk, etc... We also are thinking about doing a dolphin watch.
We leave tomorrow morning, we get back Tuesday night and unpack all day Wednesday. My husband doesn't go back to work until Thursday.

I went to take my 3 hour glucose test yesterday and I am sure I will fail it, so I will enjoy my vacation because when I get back my doctor's appt is that Wednesday and I know I'll probably have to see the gestational diabetes specialist again to start my insulin shots. But thank the Lord I am going to be 30 weeks pregnant on Monday and probably only have about 6-7 weeks to go in this pregnancy. Pray for our safety and I'll talk to you all when I get back!!

Debbie :D

Have a great time.

Debbie, Have fun! I LOVE HOUSTON!!!!! We are frequent visitors. NASA is great, although I don't know what the situation is after that shooting thing. The Astros are playing the Rangers in Houston this weekend too. The children's museum is great as well. Have fun, I'm jealous!!!!!

Have a fund and safe time Debbie! I will be praying for safe travels! And for the test results.

I'm in Houston! Space Center Houston is a great place for kids.
