This is a weird one, folks. Pamperedpsalmstress pointed out in the shoutbox earlier today that the host benefits table on PWS was incorrect: it shows a $15 benefit for a show of only $100.Being the curious sort, I checked it out on my PWS, and yep, the table is wrong! Or has HO made a change that hasn't been communicated all the way downstream yet?

I hardly think so! I'm sure it's a techy error.

That's what I'm thinking, too. It's probably a typo for $150.

Did someone let them know?

I just sent in a note.Glad I could amuse you all.
;)

I had to do an adjustment this evening as my bar pan broke :( Anyway, I did tell the associate about it. She tried to transfer me over to tech support but I just couldn't bring myself to sit on hold another 10 minutes to tell them.

What ever happened to proof-reading??

Who knows. It is hard to see errors in your own things, since your brain sees what you meant to include.

Exactly why someone else should be proof-reading...

Yep.

Good thing all of us are perfect, right?
:D

Absolutely! WE don't need to be proofed.

I'm proofed enough as it is.

(That's a little obscure. "Proofing" in baking is letting dough rise. My body looks like a big pile of risen dough, therefore I am proofed.)

Because I love the word and I think it's much more descriptive of the process (and it makes my husband a little crazy) I refer to this a "poofing".

I like that, Jeanine!

And the term proof, when used for liquor, derives from the time when the alcohol content of spirits was checked with gunpowder. If it ignited, it was 100% proof that the liquor was at least 50% alcohol. Hence, 100 proof liquor is 50% alcohol.

Just another useless tidbit from the mind of Ann. ;)

I got it! I'm a Master Baker! LOL ;)

Do you think they'd lower the requirements for a show?

Probably not. They just raised them (within the past couple years) to $150, when they implemented the new host program. Prior to that it was $150 OR 5 orders. So it was possible to have sub-$150 shows.

Yeah, back then I had a $60 show that I drove a total of 140 miles for! But I got bookings that ended up in SEVERAL great shows ($400, $600, $1000, $650...) so I was happy!
