If that is the only forged knife you have to show at your demos, I would call HO back and tell them that. I know when I needed to have my food chopper replaced, they sent the replacement out first and then I had to return the old one. (My blades just weren't sharp enough anymore...but I could still use it at my demos so I didn't want to be without it.) They do that for consultants since we are using the products at our shows!

Way to go HO!!JenBowen said:I'm siked...I got my replacement! I wasn't expecting that! The lady I talked to said it usually takes up to 3 weeks. I got it in 3 days. WOW I'm impressed. Very happy with PC tonight!
No matter how you got it you can get a replacement! When you call them they know you are a consultant and that you use it for demo. If they say that you should send it back before they send the new one remind them that you need it to show to customers. Hopefully they will send it out quicker for you.JenBowen said:I unfortunately didn't get it though a sample order, I got the whole set 1/2 price from my open house.
Rust on your Santoku knife can be caused by exposure to moisture, acidic foods, or improper cleaning and drying. It's important to ensure that the knife is thoroughly dried after washing and stored in a dry environment.
To prevent rust, always hand wash your Santoku knife with mild soap and water, avoid soaking it, and dry it immediately after cleaning. Additionally, storing it in a dry place and applying a light coat of mineral oil can help protect the blade.
While rust itself is not typically harmful, it can affect the knife's performance and lead to further corrosion if not addressed. It's best to remove rust promptly and take preventive measures to avoid future issues.
To remove rust, you can use a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply it to the rusted areas, let it sit for a few minutes, then scrub gently with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly afterward.
If your knife continues to rust despite proper care, it may be a sign of a manufacturing defect or poor-quality steel. Contact Pampered Chef customer service for assistance, as they may offer a replacement or further guidance.
