Two questions from a potential host at a show last night:

What's the best way to clean the fluted pan. She cooks the chicken in it but other things get stuck in the grooves. I don't have one.

The egg slicer plus silver thing falls out. Is that right? Mine does all the time; hence why I never use it.

Thanks...BEE

I use the egg slicer plus all the time and I dont have any problems with the silver thing falling out. I would try getting it replaced.

The Wire Frame falls out of mine too -- it's aggravating! I've purchased new frames and still have that problem. Sometimes I think I should glue it in place!

Egg Slicer Plus: I've found that if it isn't oriented the same way every time that the wire piece doesn't sit right. Try turning it over and see if it still happens. :)

Fluted Pan: The best thing I've found to clean it, the Mini-Fluted, and the Muffin pans is a round baby bottle brush. I love the Easy clean Brush for everything else, but the stoneware with curves gets clean easier and faster with a round brush. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I properly clean my egg slicer after use?

To clean your egg slicer, simply rinse it under warm water immediately after use to remove any egg residue. For a deeper clean, you can use a mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they can scratch the surface. Make sure to dry it thoroughly before storing.

Can I put my egg slicer in the dishwasher?

It is generally not recommended to put your egg slicer in the dishwasher, as the high heat and harsh detergents can damage the blades and the overall structure. Hand washing is the best way to ensure its longevity.

What is the best way to use a fluted pan for baking?

To use a fluted pan effectively, start by greasing it with butter or a non-stick spray to prevent sticking. Pour your batter into the pan, filling it no more than two-thirds full to allow for rising. Bake according to your recipe's instructions, and let it cool for a few minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack.

How do I clean my fluted pan after baking?

After baking, let the fluted pan cool completely. Use warm, soapy water and a soft sponge to clean it. Avoid using metal utensils or abrasive cleaners that can scratch the non-stick surface. For stubborn residue, soak the pan in warm soapy water for a while before scrubbing.

Can I use my egg slicer for other foods besides eggs?

Yes, your egg slicer can be used for other soft foods such as strawberries, mushrooms, and even cheese. Just ensure that the food is soft enough to be sliced easily without damaging the slicer. Always clean the slicer thoroughly between different foods to avoid cross-contamination.
