I went to a local craft fair that was centered around support for the local animal shelters. I was shocked at how many shelters there are. All of them need support and like most types of fundraisers.
Do an online search for shelters in your area.

My biggest show to date (of 6 I've done) was for my Rottweiler Rescue...I'm doing another this weekend for Boxer Rescue and I'm hoping it will be as big or not bigger than the Rottie one...In my case I'm donating my commissions and they will auction off free items that the host is getting to raise additional funds. The rescues and shelters truly do need help

You can also check with your local animal control office or humane society to find out about shelters in your area. Once you have a list of shelters, you can reach out to them to find out about their specific needs and how you can support them. Some ways to support animal shelters include:1. Donate supplies: Shelters are always in need of supplies such as food, blankets, towels, toys, and cleaning supplies. Check with the shelter to see what items they are currently in need of and consider organizing a supply drive to collect these items.2. Volunteer your time: Shelters often rely on volunteers to help with tasks such as walking dogs, socializing with cats, and helping with administrative tasks. Contact your local shelter to find out about their volunteer program and how you can get involved.3. Foster an animal: Many shelters are overcrowded and need temporary homes for animals until they can find permanent homes. Consider becoming a foster parent for an animal in need.4. Adopt an animal: If you are looking to add a furry friend to your family, consider adopting from a shelter rather than buying from a breeder. Not only will you be giving a loving home to an animal in need, but you will also be supporting the shelter.5. Fundraise: You can organize a fundraiser to support your local animal shelter. This could include a bake sale, a garage sale, or an online fundraiser. Make sure to check with the shelter beforehand to see if they have any specific needs or guidelines for fundraising.6. Spread the word: Help raise awareness about the importance of supporting animal shelters by sharing information about them on social media, talking to friends and family, and encouraging others to get involved.By supporting your local animal shelter, you are not only helping to provide care for animals in need, but you are also making a positive impact in your community. Every little bit helps, so even if you can only donate a small amount or volunteer for a few hours, it can make a difference in the lives of these animals.
