And to finish - the Steepest Street - SF is famous for its sharply-graded
streets. The steepest with no curves is Filbert Street between Hyde and

avoid it. You got to see this to believe it!!

I hope you will take advantage of some of the sights I have listed - if
you have never been to San Francisco before - you will definitely sing "I
left my heart in San Francisco" when it is time to leave.
If you see me there - please say hI!

Thanks for sharing that, Kristi.

And hello again, Ginny! Our meeting in Dallas was way too brief. We'll have to hook up in SF! I'm all for Thursday night!

I am soooo jealous. I was working for this trip last year and didn't quite make it. But I did make Level 1 which I was happy with since it was my first year with PC. I hope you have a wonderful time ... hop on a trolley for me!!!

  • #12
DH and I have been to SF before, so we need to figure out what we didn't see last time and make a game plan. I gave him the travel guide WEEKS ago.....MEN

The only thing we have planned is the Alcatraz tour on Saturday morning. Kristi and I are going--anyone else???

  • #13
We have never been and really looking forward to going. THe only thing that stresses me out is the flight there and back. I HATE FLYING!!!

  • #14
DH already bought an audio book to listen to on his iPod. He kinda freaks about flying too. He TOTALLY freaked when we went to Hawaii. Flying over all that water...

I guess I'll read a book? Or maybe United will offer a movie? I'd go for that.

Geez, that email was sent out by my director... and it didn't come to me. Probably because I am about 1 1/2 hours from SF and I saw Robin and Tasha last week. Thanks for sharing since we usually don't do the tourist stuff.

For those of you looking for SF sightseeing optionsSomething to look into for those of you looking at some sightseeing optioins ~ Darcy asked me about wine country tours...but there's other things with this SF GO CARD thing...

http://www.gosanfranciscocard.com/?engine=tripsfoatt

I have not idea what kind of wine tour you've been looking at, but this "Go Card" you buy...looks like it INCLUDES the wine country tour. You can buy a 1, 3, 5 day card...the 1 day card costs $45 (there's a sale for the 3-day cards or more right now until March 29)...and if it really included the wine tour...seems reasonable. You get to stop at the historic Sonoma Town Square ~ I love that place ~ cute shops, Sonoma Mission (California is known for the missions we have ~ all 4th grade classes have to do a mission project each year) is right there and the Cheese Factory (really a store like place but you can go in there and taste the different types of cheese ~ we usually come home with lots of cheese! There's a little deli like place in the Cheese Factory, reasonable sandwiches and good!). There's also an awesome Thai restaurant on the main strip coming into the Square ~ the Mexican restaurant right there is good too. I spent MANY days in Sonoma when I was owrking for the State of CA...one of our developmental centers is right there in Sonoma and of course, Napa State Hospital is nearby (I dealt with their nutrition programs).

But this GO CARD has other SF discounts...might be worth checking into!

So are we going to meet in the lobby Thursday night???

We're in two hotels, so we'll need to decide which one.

Before dinner drinks sound good to me. :)
