Consultants interested in upcoming events and those looking to understand the changes in the structure of company-sponsored gatherings may find this discussion relevant.

I have not listened to the call but what little I have heard disappoints me...but I am also trying to look on the bright side as well. Once I have time to digest the information, things will look just fine with me. Very disappointed in the September Leadership. This is the month that is the worst for me to get away with my job. Guess I am just seeing more barriers...again.

Debbie Downer signing off for tonight!!!

Oy... Columbus for us. 4 hours. or 5 if we go to Chicago suburbs. I guess I have a year to figure it all out... too tired tonight to wrap my head around it...

Both locations are no less than 4 hours for me...almost 5 hours for a few of my team members. South Florida gets shafted every time.

And the fact that HO will not be lining up hotels is going to make things difficult as well... trying not to be uber negative here. I REALLY hope they offer us some good support in promoting this to our teams to go...

Wow, Baltimore is getting both Spring and Fall launches. How did the other cities do?

We are in OMAHA, NE for both of them ... 2 1/2 hours for us one way. Very excited about the new plan, I will miss Chicago, but ready to embrace some change and get my team re-excited about life!

I noticed Hartford got Spring but Springfield MA got Fall. Not too far apart, except further to Springfield if you're coming from NY.

I see San Antonio got both.

I'm so spoiled. Just a straight shot 30-min. drive for me. To me it's a no-brainer for anyone on my team to go.

I'm not sure they're going to stick with Sept. for Leadership every year since kids are in school. They know it's never going to be a perfect time for everyone - just like scheduling our shows. DH just got back from a week of travel. I think his annual meeting is this same time every year, though one of the times it was in Boulder. Now wouldn't that be interesting - traveling to CO together. I go to PC conferences to get away from the family!

Atlanta got both too (just south of the city near the airport, College Park). It's nice for me because it's less than an hour drive, but I will miss hanging out with everyone and getting away for a few days....my bank account will be happy though.

I was talking to my NED today and she asked me what I thought about it. I told her that I have mixed emotions, but that I sure hope they put some excitement into these regional meetings as I think they have been BORING! She said that was addressed at Exec Seminar last week and that HO does have plans to bring in more excitement. I sure hope so :)

Along with conference and seeing all of you, I will miss Garrett popcorn, deep dish pizza and our yearly trip to Travern at the Park. I will not miss the long expensive trip!

Carolyn I know what you mean about being shafted! Nothing in NY state. So it is a 6 hour ride for us to Hartford, CT.

September is probably completely out for me. I would need to take a Wed, Thursday and Friday off at the busiest time of the year for my job so I will not be with my downline teams or networking with anyone outside of my area and no leadership training from HO...:grumpy::mad::grumpy:

Jean was saying this during the director call too. She and Dan pretty much promised that the Launches will have more pazzaz. They said that they plan to bring more of the NC excitement to them.

You are that far away from Hartford? I know for me its 2 hours :( But I'll most likely stay over night :) I'm sure I'll do the same for FL in Springfield MA :)

Um, hello? This is a no-brainer. CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's in Schaumburg, but you know what's there? IKEA!!!!

Well both spring/fall launches for us are 6-8 hour drives BUT fun road trips. At least we can drive in one day..can't do that to Chicago. And SHAFTED is New Mexico. We have a senior director here (not my cluster) and others but no execs...We get a visit every now and then from an HO...

Okay, here's my downer moment. I wish we would have known that this year's was the last National Conference. There were places I didn't go this year. I'm glad I found some new places and FINALLY made it to Navy Pier after 8 conferences!!!

What would you have done differently if you knew it was the last conference?

It was my ONLY year to go! LOL I've been in Japan my whole PC career. I thought it was fun having 1 from southern CA, one from northern CA, one from mainland Japan, me from TX, one from FL & meeting a "PC Cousin" from South Carolina. THAT certainly won't happen at the Fall Launches but I can also see that MORE of the team members will have the option to attend Fall Launch that wouldn't have ever had the chance to attend National Conference. So I know it will benefit the masses more than it will hurt my weird crazy spread-all-over-the-world team! ;)PLUS, anyone on my team who goes will probably be the ONLY one from the team to attend that location ... so everyone can share what they learned at their event & we can learn from various presenters across the country. ;)

I will bet money that we will have a Leadership in Chicago in the near future. So you will get to do all of those things.

AGREED! I would have made a greater effort to ATTEND!

Well, my dh and I decided that instead of doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer for the third year in a row in Santa Barbara next year we will do it in Chicago. That takes care of my Chicago fix for 2012.

Let me know when it is. I'd love to come cheer you on!

Hey Deb that would be cool! I think it's in May, we may not walk it we might just crew (help) instead to give us a break in fundraising (each person has to raise $1800 to walk it), but we would still be there and it would be so cool to see my Chicago peeps! If we do walk it (39.3 miles in 2 days), I'll post because we'll be needing additional cheering on!
