Well after having this show rescheduled three times due to illness/impossible schedules, my next show is to be held the first sunday after thanksgiving it think it's the 26th or something like that.

Anyway, the host is known as Ms Val and whenever she throws a "party" she is always guaranteed to have 20 + people... .... Help!!!!
my largest show up to now has been 8 people and that was pushing my confidence a little out of my comfort zone, How in the world am I going to do a show for 20 people????? I'll have my laptop so check out will be a breeze but i only enough lapboards for 10 people and i can't afford to buy anymore right now.

Any ideas?

My biggest show to date has been 18 and I was a little nervous to say the least! But the host offered me a mimosa so I took 1/2 glass, drank it down and it totally calmed my nerves! I have done that before, being nervous and taken a couple sips of something they had offered and it was much easier. Once you get started it gets easier as you are doing your demo I think. I keep my outline in front of me incase I blank out and forget something. Just practice your recipe over and over in your head and you should be ok!

Good luck!

Have fun...

It's the Sunday after Thanksgiving, people are shopping their brains out, you are offering them a fun way to do it. Make it fun. Get them laughing... and when I have large groups, I try to get in with them, whenever I can. Come out from behind your table and interact. Show your excitement and love of the products, and suggest all PC make great gifts

If you aren't good at winging it, then by all means make sure your recipe is very familiar to you. Myself, I am a fly by the seat of my pants sort of person, and that works for me, but maybe not for you.

Heck... wear a Santa hat, elves shoes.. whatever will get you in the spirit of the day. You have fun, and the guests will too, plus they will like you and that alwasy equates to buying guests.

Be yourself and also have fun doing the show. I agree with PCCarol like wearing something fun and it will get your guests in the Christmas mood.

wow what great ideas, I was thinking of doing the pampered poker with them too. now i just have to come up with the better recipe, I could do it an interactive show, the guests do the veggie trays with the crinkle cutter, knife, garnishing tools, I'll make the phyllo cheescake tart, I've made it for three shows and it's gone great every time Ive done it.

Hopefully my nerves will go away... I just have to make sure that I"m REALLY prepared.

thank you for the ideas I'll be off to the doller store tomorrow to get the santa hat.

Before dressing up for xmas I'd confirm with the host that the group is made up of people that celebrate xmas otherwise some guests may be offended.

I would practice the recipe and your speil until you are really comfortable with it. This hostess sounds like one that will help you by making the show great and making sure that everyone has a good time.

Like the others have said be yourself, have fun, come out from behind the table and interact with people.
Greet everyone with a smile and bright eyes, ask them questions about themselves. If you get a chatty group, find the instigator(s) and ask for their involvment, or help, with the recipe.
You'll feel great once you get going and that adrenaline has a place to release itself. Nervous is okay, you just need to know how to manage it.
