Hey guys! I really need prayers lifted up for my granddad. He's 83 years old and has just found out the bank is foreclosing on his house. It's a long story with a lot of background, but essentially he had surgery in August that was supposed to help his back (he's in a lot of pain from a car accident) and it didn't work. He's a realtor and between the surgery and the market, well he hasn't made any money lately. I'm really worried about him. He's so down. He's supposed to be meeting with a lawyer tomorrow to see what can be done to help him. I just wish there was something I could do and there really isn't. I don't have the kind of money that would make any difference and the rest of the family has been helping out so much over the last 6 months that they are all pretty tapped out also. None of us want my granddad to lose the house he built with my grandmother and my mom grew up in...it's so sad. If you could say a little prayer that something goes right for him soon, I'd really appreciate. Thanks in advance!

Jennifer,

Praying that your grandpa gets to keep his house! And I hope his back pain starts to heal for him as well.

Sending God's blessings your way!

Dear Lord, Please intervene and show yourself in an awesome and mighty way that your glory may be ever more revealed and this dear man's worries may be put at rest! Amen

I hope everything works out and he's able to keep the house...

Jennifer,
There is something out there called a reverse mortgage my DH grandparents are doing that. I am not sure how it works though.
My thoughts will be with your grandpa at this time.

Thanks so much to everyone for all of your thoughts. We are still in a wait and see kind of mode, but his house was listed in the paper today. He has two weeks to come up with the money or he'll be escorted out of his house by the police on April 15th. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Jennie, I'm not sure the reverse mortgage would work. I know he's looked into it and I don't know, but for some reason, he can't do it. Thanks for the idea though, it was greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for all of your prayers...keep them coming as this next two weeks could be really hard!
