PoPampered Cheforn in Dcb or Micro Cookers?

In summary, PoPampered Cheforn and Micro Cookers are two types of cooking equipment offered by Pampered Chef. They differ in size and shape, with PoPampered Cheforn being larger and round-shaped, while Micro Cookers are smaller and more compact. Both can be used in the microwave and are dishwasher safe, but not on the stovetop. There are also recipes specifically designed for these cookers available on Pampered Chef's website and from customers online.

Does anyone know if you can make popcorn in either the DCB or one of the micro cookers?

Thx :)

i wouldn't try it in either

Hot oil and the microcookers don't mix. Not for sure about the DCB but I don't think it would work either. DH watched Good Eats and has been using a Stainless Bowl he bought at Target for like $8.

Does he use the SS bowl on the stove top? How does that work? The only type of popcorn that works for me in the microwave is the bag type, I have tried putting it in plastic bowls and regular bowls, no luck.

I thought you couldn't put metal in the microwave? You know, sparks flying and all??

Some metal is OK in the microwave - there's a layer of foil in microwave popcorn bags. It becomes a problem when there is a lot of it, or it has sharp edges/points that can concentrate the electromagnetic energy. If AB was using a metal bowl to pop popcorn, it was probably on the stovetop.Yep- just did a search.
