Okay, I just had a host book a show for October 5th, and I need some ideas on what to make for her show. I was going to make warm nutty carmel brownies all next month, but my host for this show is allergic to chocolate. (so are several people in her family) So she doesn't really care what I make - as long as it has no chocolate and no caffiene. Any suggestions? I'm just drawing a blank right now - I need some sleep! lol

I'm doing the 30 minute chicken at my show on Oct 5th. I know there are a couple of threads on here with tips that I have to go and read! :)

If you're not set on doing a dessert, I would do a ring so that you could show the new round stone with handles or something in the DCB - the ribs or 30-minute chicken.

Or if you do want to do a dessert you could make the bread pudding in the deep covered baker.

On the 30 minute chicken recipe - how do you serve it? I don't have the boning knife and am not quite sure how to instruct the host to cut it. What have you done in the past? I was thinking of including celery, carrots and potatoes in with the chicken. I have two shows this weekend and will be using the pizza stone with handles (mini pesto pizzas) and the cookie dessert in the skillet pan. I keep wanting to use the 30 minutes chicken recipe for a show, but don't know why I'm so hesistant. I have one show for October and am thinking about doing it then.

I just wanted to Bump this so that I can see if other consultants have any tips for serving the chicken. Thanks in advance!

I agree!
Do the Chix Enchilada Ring - cook the ckn in the DCB first

If you want to simplify, do the pork tenderloin in the DCB. It is sooo fast and very easy/simple. Do the cool creamy chocolate fondue as a simple sweet snack.

Here is what I have been doing VERY successfully.....and it's very simple.

I do the 30 minute chicken w/ garlic biscuit bites & Cran Rasp Fizz- (I do it so much that I have made up a big batch of the seasoning mix)

Before the show -
I prep the chicken - wash, dry, and put it in the stone.
put olive oil in a prep bowl, and have seasoning mix in a prep bowl
Cut a chunk of parm. cheese, and place in a prep bowl w/ 2 cloves of garlic
Melt 3 Tbl butter in 10" Executive skillet
Make Cran Raspberry Fizz
preheat oven to 350

AT SHOW -
Show chicken in DCB, using baster, baste w/ oil, and rub on seasoning (I use gloves for this)
Put chicken in oven
Start biscuits - press garlic into melted butter, add Italian seasoning, and grate cheese into pan - top with quartered biscuits, and mix together.......put in oven.
Talk about the ease of making a meal in 30 minutes - the chicken is in the microwave, the biscuits are in the oven - now you can make a salad or do a veggie, set the table, and empty the dishwasher - and serve your family a REAL FOOD meal REAL FAST!

I slid the biscuits out onto a dots plate or medium cranberry edged plate
I put the chicken in the large Dots Bowl, cut off legs and thighs with scissors, and then sorta try slice the breast (it's not pretty!)
Then I have guests help themselves using the app. plates in the caddy.

Did this again last night - sold a 12" Skillet full price, a DCB full price, and booked a Nov. show (where she is planning on using a 1/2 price item to buy a DCB!).....sales are at $400....and there were only 4 buying guests!

SWEET, Becky! I just sent you an e-mail, and this partly answers my question. Sounds like a good idea. I may do this for my October shows. I'm going to make the chicken tonight in my micro only I don't have the DCB. I'm going to use my old deep dish baker and bowl. It's church night so fast and easy is good.

Leigh, do you have the utiltiy knife? That will work on it good too. All i do, is start cutting, like the leg(the easy part) show them its done, and tell them that if they want some to come cut for themselves, because they wouldnt want it after i butcher it! Try that., We dont have to be experts at the stuff. just joke and tell them you dont know how!that is just help on serving.. which some one on here told me to serve it on the oval platter with pettite sqs around it.. cute idea!

This is such a great show idea! I think I am going to do this for my October shows and possibly November ones. Thanks!
