Anyone have the recipe for a apple desert that uses Mountain Dew? It was used a couple of years ago, everyone LOVED it.

Thanks,

Here's the one I got off this website a little while ago. I made it for Christmas and everyone loved it!

Apple Dumplings

2 cans crescent rolls
4 granny smith apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 sticks butter
12 oz. Mountain Dew

Peel and quarter apples. Place an apple slice on crescent roll and roll up. Place in greased 9 x 13 pan. Melt butter, sugar, and cinnamon together and pour on top. Pour Mountain Dew over that. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Thanks so much, thats the one I was looking for!

My director demo'd another one last night with the Deep Covered baker.

1 can any pie filling (used Apple)
1 box any cake mix (used yellow)
1 can any soda (used mountain dew)
1/2 can any cake frosting (used white)

Pour pie filling in Deep Covered Baker
add Cake mix on top
Pour soda on top. Mix slighty with cake mix. Dont stir apples
Cover
Microwave 13 minutes

Fill accent decorator with icing. Pipe icing over cake. Replace lid for a few minutes. Serve.

Tastes like a really lite apple cobbler

I used to be addicted to the stuff (6-10 cans a day) I only drink 1 diet pop a day now and cannot stand how much MD my DH drinks!

He loves the Code Red and drinks 2 or 3 2-liters per week.
I got him to cut way back when we moved in together - he used to drink a 2-liter+ per day!!!

Hey, this recipe would go really well with the Power Cooking theme! Anything to put a quick, hot meal on the table for busy parents. I don't know if that was your director's mindset for demo-ing, but that is definitely a recipe to keep in mind, especially since it's another great use for the DCB. Thanks for sharing!

Can this be done on a stone? I have a new kit so I don't have a whole lot of options, but I would love to try this if it would work on my bar pan!

I don't see why not as long as the liquid stays inside the pan!
