good luck!
pampered Ruth said:I make mashed potatoes in the batter bowl all of the time. I cut up 3-4 potatoes, put in approx. 1/4 cup milk and 1 tbs butter or margarine. Then microwave 15 minutes, with the lid on and then when cooked , beat with more milk. They turn out great. Then lid is in perfect shape. I tell this at my shows and it helps to sell the batter bowl.

KellyTheChef said:I have always used my lids in the microwave. The way I understand the use and care is that they CAN go in the micro.
Just not the prep bowl lids, they are way too thin and the one time I forgot and did that, I put a crack into the center of the lid. I wish the prep bowl lids were as sturdy as the batter bowl lids!!
Yes, the Batter Bowl lid is microwave-safe. However, it's important to ensure that the lid is properly vented to allow steam to escape during microwaving to prevent any buildup that could cause the lid to pop off.
Avoid using the Batter Bowl lid with foods that require high heat or extended cooking times, as this may warp the lid. Additionally, do not use it for foods that can splatter excessively unless vented properly.
To vent the Batter Bowl lid, simply lift one corner of the lid slightly to create a gap. This allows steam to escape while still keeping the food covered and moist during cooking.
Yes, it is generally safe to microwave acidic foods in the Batter Bowl. However, prolonged exposure to highly acidic foods may affect the longevity of the lid, so it's best to use it with such foods sparingly.
You can make a variety of quick and delicious recipes in the Batter Bowl, such as microwave mug cakes, scrambled eggs, or even steamed vegetables. Just ensure to adjust cooking times based on the recipe and the wattage of your microwave.
