do you follow up with a recruit lead? I have one from my last show and I've called twice but neither time was a good time for her. She does sound intrested but doesn't have much info from me yet (which I really want her to have) I don't want to call too much and turn her off but I'd really like to give her all the info she needs before she makes a decision.

Why not ask her when would be a good time for her? Then call her at that time. If you have her email, I would email and ask this. Also if that doesn't work, send a small package (not too much to scare her away though) with a post it note attached that you'll follow up on such and such a day at such and such a time. Or if you'd like more info, have any questions, please call. Either way that you feel comfortable. I think the best though is to do the first and find out when is good for her :)

Make an appointmentI would try to make an appointment. Jst ask her to set up a tome to go to the local coffee shop and chat.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective follow-up strategies for recruiting leads in direct sales?

Effective follow-up strategies include personalizing your communication, setting reminders for follow-ups, using various channels (like email, phone calls, and social media), and providing value in your messages. It's important to build relationships and keep the conversation going without being overly pushy.

How often should I follow up with potential recruits?

It's generally recommended to follow up every 3 to 7 days after your initial contact. This keeps you on their radar without overwhelming them. Adjust the frequency based on their responses and engagement level; if they show interest, you can follow up more frequently.

What should I include in my follow-up messages?

Your follow-up messages should include a friendly greeting, a reminder of your previous conversation, any updates or new information about the opportunity, and a clear call-to-action. You might also want to share success stories or testimonials to inspire them.

How can I track my follow-up efforts effectively?

Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) tool or a simple spreadsheet to track your follow-up efforts. Record details such as the date of contact, the method used, notes on the conversation, and the next steps. This will help you stay organized and ensure timely follow-ups.

What are some common mistakes to avoid when following up with recruits?

Common mistakes include being too aggressive or pushy, failing to personalize messages, neglecting to follow up consistently, and not listening to the recruit's needs or concerns. It's important to strike a balance between persistence and respect for their decision-making process.
