Hi all you wonderful, helpful Cheffers! I did a booth this Saturday which was visited by hundreds of people. One was a woman who owns a Large Bar Pan, and is looking for a recipe using refrigerated croissant dough for the crust. I was too busy to ask for more details, so don't even know if this is a savory or dessert pizza.:o If anyone has ANY recipes which might fit the requirement, please share. Then, I can call her and ask if any sound familiar.

Thanks in advance!

Cool Veggie Pizza, probably. It's a long-time PC classic.

You could probably just call her and say that you were trying to locate the recipe she was asking about, but was wondering about the ingredients she may remember in it, etc. She'll probably be surprised that you are even looking for it and that you remembered her! I doubt she'd care one bit if you called to ask. You could waste alot of time searching for a recipe it MIGHT be- and I think there are quite a few that use crescent dough with Pampered Chef- they seem to like that ingredient. :D

Hi there! It's great to hear that your booth was such a success and that you had so many visitors. As for the woman with the Large Bar Pan, I have a delicious recipe for a savory croissant crust pizza that I think she will love. It's called the "Mediterranean Veggie Pizza" and it uses refrigerated croissant dough as the crust. You can find the full recipe on the Pampered Chef website under the "Recipes" tab. I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions. Happy cooking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some savory pizza recipes I can make using refrigerated croissant dough?

You can create a variety of savory pizzas using refrigerated croissant dough. One popular option is a pepperoni and cheese pizza. Simply roll out the croissant dough, layer with marinara sauce, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and top with pepperoni slices. Bake according to the croissant dough package instructions until golden brown. Another option is a veggie pizza with spinach, mushrooms, and feta cheese.

Can I make dessert pizzas with refrigerated croissant dough?

Absolutely! Dessert pizzas are a delicious way to use croissant dough. One easy recipe is a chocolate chip dessert pizza. Roll out the dough, spread a layer of cream cheese mixed with sugar and vanilla, then sprinkle with chocolate chips and bake until golden. After baking, you can drizzle with chocolate sauce or add fresh fruit for extra flavor.

How do I ensure my croissant dough pizza has a crispy crust?

To achieve a crispy crust with croissant dough, make sure to preheat your oven to the temperature recommended on the dough package. Additionally, you can bake the pizza on a pizza stone or a preheated baking sheet to help with even cooking. Avoid overloading the toppings, as too much moisture can make the crust soggy.

Can I use other types of refrigerated dough for pizza instead of croissant dough?

Yes, you can use other types of refrigerated dough such as pizza dough or biscuit dough for making pizzas. Each type will give a different texture and flavor. For example, pizza dough will provide a more traditional pizza crust, while biscuit dough will yield a fluffier, biscuit-like base.

What toppings work best for a croissant dough pizza?

When using croissant dough for pizza, a variety of toppings work well. For savory pizzas, consider classic options like pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, onions, and olives. For dessert pizzas, toppings like Nutella, fresh fruits, whipped cream, and cinnamon sugar are excellent choices. Feel free to get creative with your favorite ingredients!
