Anyone have a very basic crepe recipe? Thanks!

I'm having a craving for them and would love some for breakfast in the am!

2 cup flour, 2 cup milk, 4 eggs.... or your can 1/2 the recipe.

I do 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 3/4 cup flour and a dash of vanilla. I do them in the 8 in pans and get about 15 of them. The kids love them for breakfast and it's a super easy way for them to get their morning protein!

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients do I need for a basic crepe recipe?

To make basic crepes, you will need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 large eggs, 1 1/2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and a pinch of salt. Optional ingredients include sugar for sweetness and vanilla extract for flavor.

How do I make the crepe batter?

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter. Gradually combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes for best results.

What is the best way to cook crepes?

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or oil. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the pan and quickly swirl it around to spread it evenly. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to lift, then flip and cook for another minute on the other side.

How can I keep my crepes warm while cooking?

To keep your crepes warm, stack them on a plate and cover them with a clean kitchen towel or aluminum foil. You can also place the plate in a warm oven (around 200°F) to maintain their temperature while you finish cooking the rest.

What are some popular fillings for crepes?

Popular fillings for crepes include Nutella, fresh fruits, whipped cream, lemon juice with sugar, savory options like ham and cheese, or spinach and feta. You can get creative with your fillings based on your taste preferences!
