Does anyone know what size loaf our loaf pans make? 1lb, 1.5lb, 2lb, something else? I have a customer interested in the loaf pans but wanted to know this to figure out how many to order.

The loaf pan holds 6 cups and is 9" x 5". It's all in the catalog. It is the standard size for a loaf pan.

Ok, thanks. We were trying to figure out what 6 cups is in terms of dough since we've never measuered it in cups.

Understand! Just look at a PC recipe for the stone and then compare it with your recipe. I own both "regular" loaf pans and the stoneware one and they make the same loaf. - I want to say 1 pound... But really, it is a STANDARD loaf.

And the mini loaf pan makes the same one bread recipe but in 2 mini-loaves.

I made a 2 pound meatloaf in mine the other day, if this helps!:D

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes of loaf pans are available for ordering?

Loaf pans typically come in several sizes, including standard (9x5 inches), mini (5.75x3 inches), and large (10x5 inches). Each size is designed for different baking needs, so it's important to choose the right one based on your recipe and serving requirements.

How do I know which size loaf pan to use for my recipe?

To determine the appropriate size loaf pan for your recipe, check the recipe instructions for specific pan dimensions. If the recipe does not specify, a standard 9x5 inch loaf pan is commonly used for most bread and cake recipes. For smaller portions, consider using a mini loaf pan.

Can I substitute one size of loaf pan for another?

Yes, you can substitute one size of loaf pan for another, but it may affect baking time and the final texture of your baked goods. If you use a smaller pan, the baking time will be shorter, while a larger pan may require a longer baking time. It's best to monitor your baked goods closely and adjust as needed.

Are there any special considerations for non-stick loaf pans?

When using non-stick loaf pans, it's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding greasing and baking temperatures. Non-stick pans often require less grease, but if your recipe calls for greasing, it's still a good idea to do so to ensure easy release of the baked goods.
