I have a show tomorrow that is making a trifle. I have never used my trifle bowl since I got it so I was pulling it out of the box to get it cleaned up and ready. I had the pedestal base in the bigger box (it comes in a smaller one inside the bowl for those of you who aren't aware) and somehow I lowered the bowl into the box too quickly and broke off an edge of my pedestal. How on earth did I do that? Luckily my best friend who is keeping my son tomorrow for my show has a trifle bowl and can lend me the pedestal. Grrr. I hate things like this. It could be worse I guess....at least the bowl is intact.

((Paige))Can you get the stand replaced under guarantee or as a replacement part?

I sure hope so. I bought it last time the Trifle bowl was the host special. It was the last time I hosted a show which when pulling my name up in the host lookup, it says it was in December of last year. Besides which the catalog is showing a 5 year warranty. I will have to get my recruiter to pull up my receipt since I didn't put it under my silverware tray like I should have. It just stinks this happened the night before I needed it for a show.

My base broke upon delivery. Pc sent me a whole new trifle bowl, so now I have 2 bowls, but only one base. You should be able to get it replaced...but I don't know if they wll replace just the base. Just thought I'd let you know. Hope you had a great show!

AWW...that stinks!! I hate when that happens. Thankfully your friend is able to help you out!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my trifle bowl pedestal breaks the night before a show?

If your trifle bowl pedestal breaks just before your show, first assess the damage. If the break is minor, you might be able to use strong adhesive to fix it temporarily. If the pedestal is unusable, consider using a different serving dish or bowl that you have on hand. You can also reach out to your Pampered Chef director or team for suggestions or to borrow a replacement if possible.

Can I still demonstrate the trifle recipe without the pedestal?

Absolutely! While the pedestal adds height and presentation value, you can still prepare the trifle in a regular bowl or dish. Focus on showcasing the layers and ingredients, and explain to your guests how the trifle bowl enhances the presentation when you have it available.

How can I prevent this kind of disaster in the future?

To prevent similar issues in the future, always check your display items a few days before your show. Store your Pampered Chef products in a safe place to minimize the risk of damage. Additionally, consider having a backup serving dish or bowl on hand for emergencies.

What should I tell my guests about the broken pedestal?

Be honest with your guests about the situation. You can share a light-hearted story about the mishap and emphasize that the focus is on the delicious recipe and the fun of cooking together. Your authenticity will resonate with your audience and keep the atmosphere positive.

Is it possible to order a replacement pedestal quickly?

Yes, you can order a replacement pedestal through your Pampered Chef consultant portal or by contacting Pampered Chef customer service. However, keep in mind that shipping times may vary, so it’s best to check the estimated delivery date to ensure it arrives in time for your next show.
