"Jamie at Home"- Direct Sales Co

In summary, Jamie Oliver's home site has a link to his own direct sales company called Jamie at Home. It is very similar to the PC product line, with consultants selling their own line of cooking products and the commission is similar. The host benefits are also similar. Go to the website and check it out.

So, I just went on Jamie Oliver's home site to see what kind of recipes he has, etc, and he has a link for his own direct sales company called Jamie at Home...It is very similar to PC, consultants are selling his own line of cooking products, etc and the commission is similar as well as the host benefits. Go to his website and check it out.

Looks like, for now anyway, it's only available in the UK. In my totally unbiased opinion (haha) I think the PC product line is much better. Maybe because JAH is still so new it's offerings are more limited, but if I had a choice between a PC show and one for JAH (or, the business opportunity), I'd be more interested in PC.

Jamie's revolution sometimes seems more like liberating Jamie's wallet and this just adds to my feeling of his real motives.

Why? Because he wants to get kitchen tools into people's homes as well? Sounds like a pretty ingenious idea to me.

No, Kevin...I am a bitter old lunch lady! Seriously, I am a school lunch director and although I agree with what he is doing and saying, I believe that he could have approached school meals in a different manner. We want what he wants...really we do! Anyway...long story and posted much on another thread. I have copied his menus off and will be trying to see if we can impliment some of his recipes.

What school meals really need is more funding to pay for the increase in labor for scratch cooking. The parents are reluctant to pay more than they already do (which in some areas is high) and so we rely on government funding. I am all for First Lady Obama's campaign as it proposes more funding to achieve this. Jamie's approach just left a bad taste in my mouth and I see a lot of commercialism.

I know I am in the minority but honestly in my feelings about Jamie's approach, school meals are the most understood programs and the first target and an easy target to hit.

Yes, I think it is only available in the UK, and it didn't really state what the jamie at home is about...do they do cooking demo's like PC? I thought it was interesting that it was very similar to PC in that way, I need to have more time to look at the line and what it's about. Like I said, I was just browsing his website as a fan and saw the link for it. Very interesting.
