I am working a contract job for a few weeks installing new laptops in a hospital system. I placed one today for an older doctor. He has issues with the icons so we made them bigger so he could see them better. A few hours later he came out of his office looking for us. He said he had a problem with his new laptop and asked us to come into his office. He said that after we set it up for him everything looked fine but then he was having trouble seeing the icons again after he came back from seeing a patient. Well, I asked what the problem was. He said he could not see the icons or the screen very well still. He proceeded to take the laptop off his desk, where we did the initial set up, and placed it on his lap! I told him we could not make the icons larger and that if he put it back on his desk and used it there it would be OK. He looked at me like I had two heads and simply said, "I thought it was supposed to be used like this as it is a laptop computer and not a desktop unit. And it gets quite uncomfortably warm too and I don't think that is good." Bill, my partner in crime, left hurriedly and I almost wet myself! Not out loud and not really, God forbid he is a doctor after all, but... And how was your week?
