just wondering if anyone else who did a bridal expo is having trouble with the brides. the few i have contacted have been so inundated with calls from every vendor at the expo that they are having to change their numbers and emails!!! i feel terrible - it's the reason why i would never give out my info at one of these events! however - how are we supposed to get them 'hooked' on pampered chef if they are so sick of getting phone calls. we are putting together a bridal open house and inviting all the brides and sending out a letter - but i was just curious what everyone else was doing. and if anyone else encountered the same problems.
thanks

Yup, Meeeee tooooooo!Hi,
I have been experiencing the same deal. But, the way I see it, they need the info, otherwise they wouldn't have put their info down...

I have been gently calling. I also have sent mail (snail). Sometimes (I do this) people like to see paper... not email, not phone calls.... paper.

:( Still haven't gotten any registries for my expense... :( But, I am still hopefull and really learned a lot from the experience.

Don't give up. I have had tons of ups/downs... It will come ~ I find, patience is part of this business too... at least for me.
Good Luck!

I am doing an expo in July, and we plan to have the brides-to-be complete the wish list there, and we will enter the registry for them, and mail them the info. If they complete the wish list there, they receive a free gift. That creates the relationship right on the spot, and so we are not bothering them when we contact them later, we are furthering our relationship. A group from our cluster handled in this way before, and it worked well

How are you getting them to fill out the wish list? Do you have the document you will be using that you can share?

Thanks!
Tara

Frequently Asked Questions

What strategies can vendors use to attract brides to their booth at expos?

Vendors can attract brides by creating an inviting booth with visually appealing displays, offering interactive demonstrations of products, and providing samples of food or cooking techniques. Engaging signage that highlights special promotions or unique offerings can also draw attention. Additionally, having friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to answer questions can create a welcoming atmosphere.

How can vendors ensure they don't overwhelm brides with information?

To avoid overwhelming brides, vendors should focus on concise messaging and prioritize key selling points. Using bullet points or visual aids can help convey information quickly. It's also beneficial to engage in one-on-one conversations rather than delivering a lengthy pitch. Vendors should listen to the brides' needs and tailor their responses accordingly, allowing for a more personalized experience.

What role does follow-up play in engaging brides after the expo?

Follow-up is crucial for maintaining engagement with brides after the expo. Vendors should collect contact information through sign-up sheets or business cards and send personalized follow-up emails or messages. This can include thank-you notes, special offers, or additional information about products discussed at the expo. Following up helps to reinforce the connection made during the event and keeps the vendor top-of-mind.

How can vendors create a memorable experience for brides at expos?

Vendors can create a memorable experience by offering hands-on activities, such as cooking demonstrations or interactive tastings that allow brides to engage with the products. Additionally, incorporating elements like contests or giveaways can make the experience more exciting. Creating a comfortable space for brides to relax and chat can also enhance their overall experience at the booth.

What are some effective ways to gather feedback from brides during the expo?

Vendors can gather feedback by encouraging brides to fill out quick surveys or feedback forms at the booth. Offering incentives, such as a chance to win a prize, can motivate brides to share their thoughts. Additionally, engaging in casual conversations and asking open-ended questions can provide valuable insights into their preferences and needs, helping vendors improve their offerings.
