Tonight I went to pick up chicken for dinner and saw a heartbreaking flyer.

The man has terminal lung cancer and has been given 1-3 years to live. He even attached verification of his illness.

He has no insurance and is worried his wife and kids will be out on the street when he dies.

I would love to suggest a fundraiser ... what way do you suggest would raise the most money? An actual fundraiser or a raffle of key products, or some combination of both?

Obviously the family has bigger things to worry about than taking Pampered Chef orders. :(

Why not put together a Quarter Auction or Pampered Bingo for them. Talk to some Relay for Life teams and see what they do that had brought in the most money and change it to fit your business

Frequently Asked Questions

How can a fundraiser alleviate financial stress for a family facing terminal illness?

A fundraiser can provide immediate financial relief by generating funds that can help cover medical expenses, daily living costs, and other unforeseen expenses associated with the illness. This support can ease the burden on the family, allowing them to focus on care and spending quality time together.

What types of fundraisers are most effective for families in need?

Effective fundraisers can include online crowdfunding campaigns, community events like bake sales or car washes, and direct sales parties, such as those hosted by companies like Pampered Chef. Each of these methods can engage the community and encourage participation, maximizing the funds raised.

How can Pampered Chef contribute to a fundraiser for a family in need?

Pampered Chef can contribute by hosting a direct sales party where a portion of the sales proceeds goes directly to the family. This not only helps raise funds but also allows participants to purchase quality kitchen products while supporting a good cause.

What are some tips for promoting a fundraiser effectively?

To promote a fundraiser effectively, utilize social media platforms, create engaging posts that tell the family's story, and reach out to local news outlets for coverage. Additionally, encourage word-of-mouth sharing among friends and family to broaden the reach and attract more participants.

How can community involvement enhance the success of a fundraiser?

Community involvement can significantly enhance a fundraiser's success by fostering a sense of solidarity and support. When community members come together to help a family in need, it not only raises more funds but also creates a network of emotional support, which is invaluable during difficult times.
