In a few weeks, I'm going to be one of the hosts at a multi-vendor bazaar. Each of us is planning on raffling something off, but I need suggestions! Since it's a holiday bazaar, I'd like to stick with that theme. I like the ideas in the Holiday mini catalog, but I'm not sure what price range I should stick with.

One of the BEST things to do with a raffle is to add a gift certificate. If you really want a product with it, pick a few cheaper items. Season's Best, Mini Serv Spat or maybe a Cranberry Scraper or Decorator Bottle Set if you want more festive? The gift certificate gets them back to you. I did that for a fundraiser I organized for our local cancer support. 3 baskets full of items from all vendors. I put a HWC scraper & knife and a $10 gift certificate. 2 have redeemed them already (the fundraiser was 1.5 weeks ago) for $35 of product! I'll, of course, donate the extra commission to the cause, but I now have a new customer too. I always do a gift certificate.

David Niven played the role of A.J. Raffles in Raffles, the 1939 version of the story. The story has been filmed several times, so make sure you're getting the one you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some creative raffle prize ideas for a multi-vendor bazaar?

Consider offering themed baskets that include products from various vendors, such as a cooking basket with Pampered Chef items, a spa day basket with beauty products, or a holiday baking basket with baking tools and ingredients. Gift cards to local businesses or experiences, like cooking classes or spa treatments, can also be popular raffle prizes.

How can I promote the raffle at my multi-vendor bazaar?

Use eye-catching signage and flyers to advertise the raffle at your event. Announce the raffle on social media leading up to the bazaar, and encourage vendors to promote it as well. Consider offering a special incentive for early ticket purchases, such as a bonus entry or a small gift, to create excitement.

What is the best way to sell raffle tickets during the event?

Set up a designated raffle booth where attendees can purchase tickets easily. Ensure that the booth is staffed with friendly volunteers who can explain the prizes and answer questions. Offering multiple ticket pricing options, such as discounts for buying in bulk, can encourage more sales.

How can I ensure that the raffle is fair and transparent?

Use a clear and organized system for ticket sales and drawing winners. Keep track of all ticket sales and ensure that each ticket has a unique number. Consider using a transparent container for the ticket draw, and announce the winners publicly to maintain transparency and trust among participants.

What are some tips for coordinating with vendors for the raffle?

Communicate clearly with all participating vendors about the raffle details, including how they can contribute prizes and what their responsibilities are. Create a shared document or group chat to keep everyone informed and organized. Encourage vendors to promote the raffle through their own networks to maximize participation.
