Of course my flight is on an American Airlines MD-80I just called Carlson to make sure I can still get to Orlando to get on the ship. So far my flight has not been cancelled, so there is nothing they can do! UGH!!!

I want to know for sure that I can make it there, ya know? They said they'll have someone in the office on Sunday to help take care of any last minute problems this may cause. But for now if I wanted to change my flight, I would have to pay all the change fees. Not happening!

But if I miss the ship, I can't catch up until the THIRD day in Nassau b/c the 2nd day is CoCo Cay. So I'd miss half the trip!

So say a prayer, cross your fingers, do whatever it is you do to send me your good thoughts.

OMG!!! I was wondering if anyone was on AA. Crap!!! I'm on United, but I totally feel for you because I'd be freaking out!! I will DEFINITELY be crossing my fingers for you. Keep us posted. I was thinking I'd be fine with getting out there, but if it got cancelled coming back, DARN we'd have to stay in FL. Or we could go stay with Carolyn!! LOL. But that's probably not good either.

Oh Deb, that is so yucky. I am going with the glass half full approach. They will have all of the planes back in the air by the time you are supposed to leave. That is my story and I am sticking with it.

so far so good. I guess I'll probably be checking everyday. Of course we have layovers too so it is basically 4 flights that I am watching. And Carlson Travel closed at 4 my time

The MD-80 is made my McDonnell Douglas. Its defining characteristic is where the engines are situated--way in back on the tail, as opposed to on the wings. 757s are much larger.

Oh no, MD-80s are not small. They hold about 150 or so passengers.

Well we have snow storms planned for Monday here in Maine and I'm terrified that I also will not make it in time... we only have one little airport in this area and if the flight is delayed or canceled, we're pretty much screwed! I'm joining you in the stress boat Debbie!!!

I hope everyone gets out safely and on time! I'm on United, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before their planes get inspected too. I'm not on the MD-80 though. Or is that just specific to AA?

I checked the flights available and only Southwest and AirTran have nonstops available on Monday morning. Just so I know my options...

One of my downline earned the trip and she was already worrying about changing planes, lost luggage, etc. days ago. I was trying to reassure her that if it happens, it happens...but I was very relieved to see that my flights are all with Jet Blue and Monday's is a non-stop.

I will be saying a prayer and crossing my fingers for all of you. I am so glad that we are driving to conference. It is a 12 hour drive one way, but what a hassle it is flying. AA is so fried...no one will forget this for awhile.

I confirmed this morning that my flight is on a MD80 also, at this point we are still flying.... I've got my figures crossed. At least it is my first flight, which is Sunday morning.
