I was at Target today (spending way too much money :) ) and another mom spotted my tote and asked if I was a consultant. I said yes and she said she's a SAHM and was thinking about something like PC so she could make some extra money.

So we chatted a little--she sounds VERY interetested. I got her name and # and gave her my card and told her I'd call her in a day or two.

WISH ME LUCK!!! I need to sign someone this month to maintain my directorship and the one who was supposed to sign three weeks ago hasn't done so yet. :(

Go Deb, go I know that you can do it.

I understand about the spending way too much money, I do it all the time!!

Go Deb - this may be the one you need - good luck!

That's awesome. I hope she is the one. :)

That is great when someone approaches YOU! I love that!

Hope she signs with you!
:)

Deb, did you loose someone, I am a little confused (that's normal) about why you need one more to keep directorship.......

I have one that will be going inactive June 1st (she is quitting), but she was active at the time my 4 others were so I was able to promote.

Awesome! (Not the person leaving you - the Target lead.) I hope this pans out for you - maybe when she qualifies you'll have to buy HER a ribbon tote!

Good luck!

Too cool about Target - Dang, I was there today - should've been looking for recruits instead of toys!!!

Well I am sorry to hear that she is quiting, but glad to hear that it might not affect you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Ribbon Tote and how does it help in recruiting?

A Ribbon Tote is a stylish and functional bag used by Pampered Chef consultants to carry their products and materials. It serves as a conversation starter, allowing consultants to showcase their business while out and about, such as at Target. The tote can attract potential recruits who are curious about the business opportunity.

How did you get a recruit lead at Target using your Ribbon Tote?

While shopping at Target, I had my Ribbon Tote with me, which caught the attention of a fellow shopper. We struck up a conversation about the Pampered Chef products I had in the tote, and I shared my experience as a consultant. This led to her expressing interest in joining my team, resulting in a potential recruit lead.

What should I include in my Ribbon Tote to attract recruits?

To attract recruits, consider including Pampered Chef catalogs, business cards, product samples, and a mini brochure about the benefits of becoming a consultant. Having these materials readily available allows you to provide information and answer questions on the spot, making it easier to engage potential recruits.

Are there specific strategies for approaching potential recruits at stores like Target?

Yes, when approaching potential recruits, be friendly and open. Start with a casual conversation about the products or your experience with Pampered Chef. If they show interest, share how being a consultant has benefited you and offer them a chance to learn more. Always be respectful of their time and space.

What are the benefits of recruiting someone through casual encounters like this?

Recruiting through casual encounters can lead to genuine connections, as the potential recruit may feel more comfortable discussing the opportunity in a relaxed setting. It allows for authentic conversations and can lead to recruits who are genuinely interested in the business, as opposed to those who may feel pressured in a more formal setting.
